How long should I wait to file my ins papers for my husband to move to atlanta. He currently lives in bahamas?

My husband is currently living in the bahamas, should I file the papers for him to move to the u.s.a. now, or wait until 2009 when he has planned to move here for good. If I file the papers now will he be allowed to visit me in the u.s. on his travel visa, until he gets ready to move here for good. Please help me with good answers if you have had a similar situation.
thanks

Answer:
its best to do it now esp b/c the rates for filing will be significantly be increased this year. If you file now it will give him time to get processed. When he arrives for good he should have his Social if not Green Card or even citizenship by then.

You could file for his papers right away, now this country has a tricky thing if he gets his green card, he should be ready to move here right away, because then they think that he didn't need a green card, take it from me and start inmediately.
how about when hell freeze,s over he,s in the Bahamas,s shut up and move then
