Should Mexico stop to paying 25 billion dollars per year to USA by external debt concept?
Answer:
If Mexico has borrowed money from anyone, they need to pay it back.
Mexico can create more jobs by stablizing their crime and their economy. Businesses are being scared away by the kidnappings, murders and drug lords.
(So are tourists...)
In 2005, Mexico "borrowed" 54 billion dollars from the US in interest free loans. Mexico has not paid any money to the US..EVER, although loans totally over 480 billion have been accrued since 1995. Add the cost of Mexico's illegal aliens, 77 billion in 2005 and increasing exponentially by 22% per year and I would say that Mexico is one of those "friends" the US could do without. Mexico's government is extremely corrupt. This is why it is so irritating that the illegal aliens come over here and cause trouble instead of staying in their own country and trying to fix its problems.
Why should we doubt you? However, if they borrow money they should pay it back. We also give you aid. If our guys said they wanted to forgive payment on debt as aid for a couple of years IF it were used in certain ways that might be something people would vote for. Right now with all the illegal immigrants (Mexican citizens) we have to pay for and who send back their money to Mexico, a lot of people are mad and think Mexico should be paying US for their children's education and their health care etc. So I don't know if this idea would fly or not.
