What do you think should be done about the illegal immigration issue?
Answer:
The United States government must do the following before putting illegal aliens on “a path to citizenship.”
a) Complete building a fence along the entire US/Mexican border; this is essential.
b) End the practice of giving U.S. citizenship to the children of illegal aliens.
c) Make it a felony punishable by a minimum of 60 days in prison to be in the US illegally.
d) Keep the National Guard on border patrol duty and let them interdict intruders.
e) New Border Patrol agents must be trained before amnesty is given.
f) Pass The Nuclear Family Priority Act by Phil Gingrey (R-GA), HR 938, which would reduce chain immigration.
g) Stop providing social services to those who are in this country illegally.
h) Mexico must be charged for the cost of the incarceration of its citizens in the U.S.
i) End the practice of dual citizenship. You are an American, or you are not!
j) English must be made the official language of the U.S. government.
k) All U.S. police officers must determine the citizenship of those who they arrest.
l) End the sanctuary policies of cities, such as LA, San Fran, Chicago, and New York.
When all of that is accomplished, then we should give amnesty to those who work in the agricultural industry, those who have needed job skills, or those have a college education. We really need these workers in the agricultural industry. The illegals must: pass a thourough background check, have committed no more than 2 minor felonies, and must never have belonged to a Hispanic supremacist group that advocates the return of the southwestern U.S. states to Mexico.
Send their butts right back to where they came from, and don't sugarcoat it. If the tables were turned, they wouldn't be as nice to us.
Enforce all the laws that are already on the books; we don't need to round them up we just need to deport them when they are found. Prosecute and fine heavily those hiring illegals, prosecute and fine those renting to illegals, prosecute and deport all illegals who commit misdemeanors and imprison those who commit felonies.
Stop all free health care, education, welfare, food stamps and the incentive to be here would be useless and the problem is solved.
Any drug dealers caught coming into the country should receive the stiffest penalty. They are in a round about way killing our children and corrupting our culture.
I cannot understand why they are making this so convoluted unless they need the money from those hiring these illegals, thus, depriving Americans of a fair wage or even an opportunity to work.
It's not up for vote so I don't think there's much you can do.They'll keep working on it as different groups squawk and pretty soon it will be so far from the original plan we all might as well pack up and move. The original was good but people who didn't have a clue what they were protesting protested now it's become an open debate that gets more and more warped. Thanks for wrecking a good thing protesters.
I would simply make our laws on immigration exactly what Mexico's current laws are on illegal "migration" into their country. We could never do that though because all of the politically correct people would complain about the treatment of these supposedly hard working people.

not US citizens at this time but yes legal residents or obtain a work permit.
Arrest them, prosecute them...then deport them. That's the law isn't it ?
Enforce laws that prosecute employers who hire illegals. There is a Social Security verification system that can be used for each employee hired.
If employers are fined, then they might stop hiring illigals. If there are no jobs for illegals, they might not come over the boarders anymore. This goes for social programs and gov't hand outs as well.
It's like a stray cat. If you keep feeding it, it will never leave your back yard.
My step-dad was born in mexico. He came here to the U.S. when he was 3 years old with his family (7 all together, including his mom and dad). When his family got here, his mom and dad applied for legal residency and got it. From there, they worked on a chicken ranch and out in the fields getting paid by paycheck and did indeed pay taxes.
My dad who is now a U.S. Citizen, says that... if you are from mexico, you need to follow the rules of the United States and become a legal resident or citizen. You need to work and learn english as well. My dad's first language was spanish and while he was a child learned english in school.
I agree with my dad. I work in an ER and see many people who are not citizens get FREE medical care. They do not work. They bring in their kids to the ER to be seen for a minor fever and get free medicine. When I was sick and was not working due to an injury, my government said, We can't help you. It was only when I ended up in the hospital and acquired a $20,000.00 bill and told them I couldn't pay the bill did they say, Ok... we will take care of it. Also... a lot of people who come from Mexico or other latin countries do not speak english. They expect us to know spanish and cater to them. While working in the ER, people come up to me and ask if I speak spanish. When I say, no, I don't. Or tell them, very little, they get upset at me for not speaking spanish.
If I were to go to mexico and didn't speak spanish, I would be in so much trouble. MY thinking is... if people want to come from other countries and be citizens and live here legally... hey, great! But... if people want to come here and live illegally and mooch off of the U.S and come here and say, "take care of me." Then I say, deport them back to mexico.
