I know someone is going to ask, why would someone want to be friends with someone who is anti-illegal when you're illegal yourself. Well aside from that point of view you're great friend.
BTW, this has nothing to do with me. I just want to hear some thoughts on all the anti-illegals. And NO Im not illegal! Im American BORN!

I would continue being friends with them.True friendship doesn't look at race, religion, culture and even status.I would accept them.Period.Despite what people think about illegals, they are still HUMAN...And no, don't compare this with being friends with a child molester! Such a lame argument..
Well for me it wouldn't change a thing. it all depends on you on that. If you really care about them then why should that be a problem.?? Have you wonder and ask why your friend came here in the first place? A friend is a friend and who cares what they are.
I think it would show how our preconceived notions of undocumented immigrants can be wrong and pure misconceptions. Perhaps it would alter our value scale with which we evaluate people to whom we can't relate.
if something like that would get between two people then that shows what type of person that is... they let that hate/negative energy change their relationship. i wouldnt want a friend like that at all... i wouldnt wanna waste my time...

I am anti illegal but I'm pro immigration reform. I do have friends who are illegal and they're very nice hard working people who try very hard to learn English and fit in.We have many good laughs over our food when we share a meal either at their house or mine.
However I have also seen the dark side of illegal immigration.And no he wasn't Mexican he was from Chile.Let's just say it was a very bad experience.Anyway the law failed my family.I have done everything in my power for the last 2 years to get the laws changed.That's why I'm so pro immigration bill reform.I have poured over it and over it again and again.I called people who helped write it to ask about something in it.I sent letters and e-mails to give my opinion on it.I have been very involved with what it will and won't do.I don't want ANYONE coming here without background checks.If the man who hurt my family had had one he wouldn't have been here.If the laws were different he couldn't have hurt anyone.The good deserve a chance the bad need to go.End of story.

I think friendship its over all that stuff, of course isn't easy for anybody earn my trust and friendship, but if ANY of my dearest friends tells me something like that i would support him/her and try to help him first off all getting legal, anyways a friend it's a friend and i don't care.

Since my dearest closest friends aren't jerks, I would not think less of the person or disown that person. I would feel sympathy and listen to their side of the story.
I would probably loose alot of respect for them.
