What actually happens during a deportation?
Answer:
Deportation is a process. Some times it takes months. When a government decided to deport a person to another country, they collect all the documents in detail, from the deportee and approaches the relevant country from where the deportee has come. If the deportee's government accepts that he/she is their citizen, then the issue some kind of travel document. When this happens, the deporting country makes arrangement for the travel, including booking of an air ticket. On that particular day the take the deportee to the air port, also take photos of the person to be deported and hands over to the immigration in the airport. The immigration clears all the document and make a red stamp on the deportees pass port and push him/her to the air craft. In the aircraft the airline crews take care of him/she. When the airplane lands, the deportees own country, the immigration takes care. They check every thing and have interrogation with him/she. They file a case on them. Some straight away go home and prepare for the court appearance others go to Jail. After the court decides their punishment some go to jail some are freed.
Once a person deported he/she can not travel for some time, unless they use fake travel documents and bribe the airport officials.
Some serious offenders haded over to the police in the airport with security .
Don't know, its never been done.
They put you on a deportation bus that heads to Mexico and drops them off at the nearest city.
You are surrendered to your personal embassy or forcefully put on a plane back to your home country. In either case, your visa is cancelled and your passport details (picture, name, other personal details) are uploaded into a blacklist, so that you will be unable to enter the country legally without them knowing and thereby preventing you from entering again.
serious offenders are at times escorted back to their country of origin, yes i mean two agents will actually fly internationally and the deportee is personally handed over to the police in that country.
Talk about tax dollars.
Depends upon country of origin. If the immigrant is from a European Union country their embassy is contacted along with Interpol for any outstanding arrest warrants. Once their status is confirmed they are packed out on the next flight at their country's expense.
Those from Eastern Europe, Asia and other politically charged countries the process can take a lengthy amount of time. Some are reunited with relatives in other countries or here in the United States at our co$t. If there are no relatives and they have a legitimate reason for concern for their life they usually are granted limited asylum pending their country's political status or their legal status.
All are kept in secured houses controlled by Immigration Officers usually on the airport premises until their status is determined.
Hope this helps.
they put you on handcuffs and fly you back to your country of origin. you will be barred in entering the U.S. for 10yrs.
Sometimes people are told to stand at the end of a pier and shot in the back of the head. It's pretty effective.
I was on a flight from Los Angeles to Manila, via Seoul (Northwest Airlines). There were about 5 Filipinos who were in the Los Angeles Airport terminal wearing leg irons and handcuffs. There was an INS Officer with each one.
They were boarded last. As they got to their seats the agents removed the leg irons and handcuffs and sat them down. The agents then left the plane, although I'm sure they watched from the gate to make sure the plane took off.
They were still there when we reached Manila.
I'm told that we are now chartering flights to Manila and deporting them by the plane load. The Philippine government squawked because they are kept in cuffs and leg irons right up until the plane lands in Manila, just like Con-Air.
Once the alien have been order deported by the Immigration Judge the arrangements for his/her removal start. If the alien is Mexican he/she will be taken near the U.S./Mexican border and he/she will walk back to Mexico only on designated cities. The departure is verified by ICE agents.
On some cases aliens are order a voluntary departure. In this cases they are given a date to exit the U.S. They will have to presents themselves to CBP Officers at the time they are exiting the U.S. In this case the departure is verified by a CBP Officer.
If the alien is an OTM (other than Mexican) a representative of the alien’s country is contacted and a permit to travel to their country is issued to them. Usually they are taken by plane to their home country. For example for Honduras Citizens, ICE agents turn the Honduras to the U.S. Marshals on the JPATS plane to Honduras.
Usually the first time the alien is order removed (deported) by the Immigration Judge it is for five years. If the alien is apprehended illegally in the U.S., He can be deported again by ICE agents, and this time the alien can be order remove for ten, twenty years or for life.
You get sent to "your homeland",and good riddance, but see you later, because I "know" you Will be back...
It just kind of depends. Some people are jailed for years before they are finally sent back others are sent back immediately and all are shipped back home cuffed and all. In all the cases it is never a pleasant journey.
deportation ?? what's that ???
