AMERICA is still the land of the free and the home of the brave,I dont believe it will be that way for long,we have to many greedy politicians,Our kids are still fighting for freedoms while our government lets law breakers get away with murder,drug traffiking and identity theft.How long do you think American citizens can pay for freeloeaders?How long do you think being politically correct will matter when our flag is being burned and our country is being invaded by terrorist? I think illegal immigration or amnesty will be the death of our country.
Immigration is only part of the reason. The real reason, of which illegal immigration is a part, is liberalism.You cannot possibly love your country and at the same time tolerate millions of people coming here illegally and breaking the most basic of American laws to live here. They suck off the system, increase health care costs, taxes, etc. for everyone else here. The illegals coming here refuse to assimilate and become Americans. Immigration only highlights a bigger problem, greed. People are trading what the founding Fathers, fallen soldiers, and fellow Americans have fought so hard to build for cheap labor and the almighty dollar. We've sold our soul to the devil and will pay for it in 50 years. When our cities are overpopulated, the SS system is destroyed and health care costs go through the roof.
I don't think people in the U.S have the same political spark as they used to. Love of country is not a common value we instill in our children, no matter what color we are. It's sad that so many things are going wrong in our country and the vast majority of Americans just don't care enough to speak out and write to their elected officials. I don't think it's only immigration, though that could be a cause. I am third generation in this country on my dad's side, and my family is always telling me still about the poverty and turmoil that was left behind. They came over with nothing, and now this country has allowed my family to be rewarded for their hard work.
I'm so thankful that we are here, and I know my husband's family who came here during the Mexican Revolution is thankful to be here too. So maybe when CERTAIN immigrants come here and tell their children how hard things were and how much opportunity we really have here, they raise the children who can truly love and appreciate this country.
I was only 13 years old when I became aware of the racial discrimination. I am now over 58. Nothing has changed. There is still racial hatred toward Mexican-Americans and blacks. In present day white Americans are just using illegals as another excuse.As far as my country I still love it the same. Some of you think I am just throwing words out there. Believe me I have alot of personal experience.Some of us are afraid to speak out. But we will never forget.
I don't appreciate my country I love my country and I was ready to give my life in her defense when I was in Vietnam. Illegal immigration into our country by the invasion coming across our souther border and ports is a war that we all must fight and win.
Yes I do beleive illegal immigration is a huge cause. It seems too many are just looking for the financial rewards and nothing else. I barely hear anyone say anything about just freedom anymore. It's always about just money. Doesn't help that outsourcing our jobs for cheap labor is also a factor. It seems the countries that are being effected by mass immigration and illegal immigration are the ones who worked hard to make it a better place. There's too many comming to reap the benefits ,as if they are entitled to it.......while the citizens are watching their country and way of life fall apart. There's no appreciation, nothing. Just this drive to keep their "culture" alive while we watch that "culture" turn our country into the places they've all ran from. The way I see it....if it worked.....they wouldn't be here now would they? It doesn't help our government is selling us out on the other end either and their "trust factor" on beleiving it's going to a better place.....doesn't hold much water. I knew back when Regan talked about his "trickle down theory" it was a bunch of hog wash.....This "open borders", multi-culture, bi-lingual, NAU, globalization deal sounds like an equally destructive "theory". Might sound good on paper........but it's full of destructive loopholes to actually be a better working solution. They are destroying the very things that made us successful.
Illegal immigration and political correctness are the two absolute things that are going to kill this country. When do we stop giving blindly, and realize the consequences that we are about to pass on to our future generations? It's sickening. All of it in the name of a freakin dollar. I wouldn't be surprised if this country has a civil war going by May of this year. The majority of AMERICANS don't want illegals here period. Not only that but states are now introducing their own legislation to combat illegal immigration. Kudos for them. Since the federal govt is a joke.

The millions of Illegal aliens in this country is a totally different subject from "immigration". Illegal aliens are not immigrants. They are here illegally. Period.
