My fiancee and I want to get married in the US, he is not a US citizen but I am. What do we need to do.?
Answer:
FIANCEE VISA (K-1 VISA).
Fiancee (K-1) visa is an non-immigrant visa allowing your Fiancee to enter the United States for the purpose of marriage. The marriage must take place within 90 days of your fiancee entering the United States.
If the marriage does not take place within 90 days or your fiancee marries someone other than you (the U.S. citizen filing USCIS Form I-129F - Petition for Alien Fiancee, your fiancee will be required to leave the United States. Until the marriage takes place, your fiancee is considered a nonimmigrant. A nonimmigrant is a foreign national seeking to temporarily enter the United States for a specific purpose.
A fiancee may not obtain an extension of the 90-day original nonimmigrant admission.
You are required to submit your Petition for Alien Fiancee (Form I-129F) according to your place of residence. There are four main Service Centers in the United States, which handle I-129F application packages. Those applications should be mailed to USCIS Service Centers.
Please note: Your fiancee may enter the United States only one time with a fiancee visa. If your fiancee leaves the country before you are married, your fiance(e) may not be allowed back into the United States without a new visa.
Ditch him! There are plenty of great Americans available.
Well, first of all, make certain he is not marrying you just to become an American citizen.

You have to find a way to get him here legally, and fiance visa sounds like the right one, considering your intentions.
The marriage has to take place on US soil to be recognized here.
You have to file for a K-1 visa. It will grant him permanent resident status and a work permit once you are married. It will give you 90 days after he arrives in the country for you to get married. They can be difficult to get and they do some pretty good checking before they issue the visa. It is much easier then trying to change his status after you marry. It can take several years and a significant amount of money to complete a change of immigration status. The K-1 is a much easier route.
why dont you go live with your husband and his family??
you and he can always fly back to the US to visit your folks...
why is it so important to get married IN THE US? Your fiancee may like many before him desire a life in this country more than he actually desires a life with you....
just a thought you should seriously consider.
first of all to the person that said the marriage has to happen on US soil........wrong answer....this is not true I got married in Jordan & my marriage is just as legal as anyone here...I am a US citizen....you should try to apply for a K3 visa if he is not already here...its hard to give you an exact answer because sometimes it depends on the country of residence that he is coming from
