I agree wholeheartedly. I can't tell you how many times I've had to defend the fact that it is not a discrimination issue. It appears that the pro-illegals have no valid argument and thus have resorted to the easiest, most obvious reason off the top of their heads. I being of German/French decent would actually be embarassed if millions of them (Germans) came here, with a big percentage of them "expecting" to get help and services, and automatic jobs, (because they are willing to work illegally as well) and then not only that, would fly the German flag, while defacing the US one, marching in mass groups trying to intimidate instead of assimilate, and basically biting the hand that feeds them. How outrageous! And if I were a legal Mexican, then I am sure I would belong to the organization: http://www.dontspeakforme.org

You're absolutely right. They cry racism because they can't make a real argument that works.
i would imagine it's just another scare tactic. no one wants to be considered racist and people use the taboo of the word against others to get their way.

I agree. It's not about race, it's about law. If you cannot enter this country legally then you do not and should not have any rights no matter where you come from. It amazes me that other countries attack the American way of life while at the same time trying to take a piece of it. Well enough is enough. My taxes should go towards helping Americans, not illegals.

Because some people (not ALL, not even close to the majority) tend to blur the lines between "Mexican illegals" and "Illegal Immigrant" and "Hispanic people". That's when it becomes racist. Otherwise, it's just a lame argument for illegal immigrants.
The term racism really means a kind of stereotyping. The common thread of most complaints on illegal aliens is the mistaken belief that there are large numbers of people working here and not paying taxes, or simply living here at the expense of the taxpayers, by taking handouts, like welfare and free medical care. The truth is that even illegal aliens are taxed. The I.R.S. frowns on corporations that do not withold taxes and if a corporation were doing this, it would have a nightmare money laundering problem. There are far more legal citizens, born in the U.S.A. on welfare and recieving low-cost healthcare and free or reduced price school lunches, than illegals doing the same thing. All immigrants are not illegal, nor are they all from Mexico or South america. More legal immigrants enter the U.S. legally than illegals that choose the other, far more difficult method.

Exactly! People always have to have someone to pin the blame on, even if it's the wrong person and they know it. It's very stupid, but that's how it will always be. And illegals accuse the Americans who dislike them of being racist because it's all the only card they have.
Think of it this way. Supporters of illegal immigrants HAVE to resort to name calling as a first defense because they have no real arguments about that first word in the legal description.."Illegal".

I am one of the people that has become a victim to illegals. They are working for so little that I could never pay the legitimate expense of operating a business. I am resentful that our government has done so little to address this issue. The resolve they come up with is to give them amnesty. They are criminals and have no right to work here as an illegal. That could cause anyone to be racist. I should not be forced to compete with this outrage.
They love using that to try and scare us. Americans need not feel guilty and stand up to this. We want our laws followed and that does not make us racist it makes us law abiding citizens.

I spoke with this one guy who was doing it and he said he was sending money home
to Mexico to his family.
He showed me a picture of his house that he was having built out there.
It was six bedrooms with a huge yard and lots of land.
See, what bothers me is, they come out here and use our health care system, welfare system, and they work under the
table, don't pay taxes, stock up their cash, then go back home.
It's the way the situation is being handled that makes it racist. For YEARS it was known that the borders needed to have tighter patrol, but nothing was done.
Now all of a sudden they want to round them up like dogs, separate them from their kids (who are now legal) and just kick them out with nothing, like they're animals. That's when it becomes racist.
They are still human beings, not animals.

They aren't coming here to get "something for nothing." They are coming here to work hard and get paid by willing employers.
They aren't using "your" resources. They are using resources owned by private U. S. citizens, who are hiring immigrants to add value to those resources.
Most illegal aliens do pay taxes, under phony social security numbers. But they'll never be able to collect social security pensions. They are helping to prop up the system so that you will be able to get a social security pension.
When an employer hires an illegal alien "off the books," he can't deduct the wages as a business expense. So he has to pay income taxes on those wages, in a higher bracket than the worker would have been in. So actually, the government ends up collecting MORE taxes from illegal aliens.

Hi precious. Just like you mentioned that we call everyone racist that is against illegal immigration the same concept applies that all undocumented immigrants don't pay taxes and 12 people live in a one bedroom apt. Here's the deal. Some political forces including newscasters try to turn people like you and me against each other. We both agree though that criminals and I mean real criminals are not wanted here by anyone including those that are making a descent living and are contributing to the system. Lies, exaggerations, and just blunt ignorance from both sides is what really divides us. These people where in some way invited here by employers at some point and even both sides of political parties agree on that we ALL need this workforce in place. In the 90's the dot com era, NAFTA, and shipping jobs overseas was part of people being unemployed. Its not just about "illegal aliens" taking over everyone's jobs. Unemployment is at an all time low, these undocumented immigrants are re-building cities here in the states,fighting wars overseas, etc. Some bad apples in the basket don't generalize the rest of the people that do more good than bad including legal citizens in this country.
