I just think it's bogus that people keep saying Americans won't do these jobs.. Because most of us do it without even thinking twice about it.. The thing is, we don't settle for a shitty wage 'cause we know we're worth more than that..

I totally agree with you. Normally, I agree with President Bush's opinions, except the ones on immigration. He insists they're doing no harm to our country, when in reality, they're pulling us down to a third world country. I think that the saying "They do jobs Americans won't do" is just a phrase that people say when they want to avoid all the trouble of deporting all of the illegals. They don't want to have to deal with rounding up all of the dirty, law-breaking, S.O.B.s. But anyway, there are Americans who will do that work. For instance, teenagers who are trying to get their first job. They shouldn't expect a high wage, so why not use them? Why not go to L.A. and gather up the homeless and have them do that work? They'll work for minimum wage. We don't need the Mexicans or other illegal immigrants. We really don't. If you think deeply about it, they're no use to our country.
I have done every one of them and nobody gave me anything for free.
There is no job Americans won't do. Illegal aliens have to do these jobs for lower wages, often "under the table" because they are here illegally anyway and can't negogiate or argue for more money. They have to take whatever the corrupt employer offers them because what alternative do they have?? Businesses are taking advantage of illegal aliens, but you can't blame them completely. The illegal aliens are here illegally, so what right do they have to complain?? I guarantee you legal immigrants get paid more!!!!!
It is to easy for Americana's to get welfare and other programs.Such as unemployment,food stamps etc.This country has made it to easy not to do anything.Also the people that hire illegally people put thousands of dollars in their pockets by not having to pay benefits and such.
I disagree with you. When given a choice, I think that employers would much rather hire English speaking employees to do the work over Spanish speaking immigrants. Also, now that businesses are facing huge fines and employers are facing jail-time, most don't want to hire illegals, they want to hire those that are legal. But sometimes the only help they can get are those that are in this country illegally.
And yes, I have moved lawns and did all of that stuff, but the fact of the matter is not many Americans would want to do that for a CAREER. Not just once or twice, but be paid minimum wage and do that to support their family. Thats the difference. If Americans would want those jobs, they can have them. Since they aren't lining up to take them, businesses are looking for the next best thing.
