But let me expand on that. Yes, the Catholic Church in particular has completely missed the boat on this issue. Providing sanctuary to illegal aliens just doesn't fly, and the federal immigration agencies should bust down their doors and drag the scumbag 'refugees' out by their hair. Either that, or start taxing the churches on their property and donations. When the Church starts picking and choosing which laws of the land by wich it will abide, it ceases to be a church in my opinion. It is supposed to be a place to worship, not to formulate public policy.

Well if we bring religion into it, Jesus Christ would get thrown in jail for helping a dying "illegal" out in the desert. I don't think jesus would approve of the current situation and hatred of "illegals". People don't know anything about illegals except what they hear on FOX news. They don't know their culture, their reason for being here, their story, NOTHING.
Religion & the law have nothing to do with each other. Religion is not a reason for allowing a person/persons to break the law. I have compassion for those who try to come here illegally but that doesn't mean that I condone their breaking the law. We do not need any more uneducated poor people to care for, we have enough of our own to deal with & by allowing illegals we are short changing our own, there is only so much money & it needs to spent on our people, not those from an other nation.
