Social security? That's not going to last much longer as is.
Honestly, it doesn't matter to me, because if they're receiving Social Security, they're already paying taxes and paying into Social Security. Somehow, I don't have a problem with providing government services to someone who pays their share of government taxes, no matter what their immigration status is.
And since many illegal immigrants leave before they're able to collect the social security that they've paid into ... well, I'll leave that for you to puzzle out.
Edit: Whether they receive it or not when they go back to their home country doesn't even matter. They're receiving the benefits that they've already paid for. At the 'worst', the system breaks even. Meaning that no more of my paycheck goes to pay for illegal aliens than for my neighbor or my mother.
too much!! send those bast*rds packing! i shouldnt have to pay so that paco can come here illegally, be given money by the government for free to open up a business(which i cant seem to get the money for) and become rich off it. oh! and not learn english. and have 50 kids that live off welfare. too much goes to them and not enough to the people that ACTUALLY live here. you know, the americans?? this country's all fuc*ed up.
How much of my paycheck goes to supporting you? Putting your kids through school, paying for the roads you drive on, paying for infrastructure and municipal services in your neighborhood, etc. Frankly, I'd have more respect for your argument if you thought that nobody should be obligated to subsidize the life of anyone through taxation, but I am pretty sure you're only concerned with illegal immigrants. I don't want to pay for anybody!
More after the Senate bill passes. Kennedy wants to give them all the benefits of an American Citizen [e.g. Tax Breaks, Tax Credits [Earned Income], etc]. He wants to give them this Before they even earn Legal status.
I usually don't take side on this issue but it gets me mad when some people just keep on going when they say illegals don't pay taxes. For your information they do pay taxes, they get a special # from the INS so that they get tax deductions. Before you make a statement do some research.

More than you might think I manage a manufacturing facility and after a long day of helping them do their jobs, I then have to turn around and pay for food and housing out of my Social Security so they can afford to have 12 children a new truck and a house to live in. My point is this, if I have to do more than manage to make sure that they are doing their jobs correctly, How much of my pay check goes to support them?. Let's see 20% to the government for taxes + 30% of my time at work to hold their hands I would estamate 45% of my check goes to them. And I know that I am not the only one in this boat.
By the way, the only way they get SS is if they have a Valid SS# (which is checked before pymt is issued federally) and they have to have left a forwarding address to their new residence no matter what country. You only get what you paid in. What doesn't get collected goes to an off shore bank account and is held up to 7yrs. If the money is never claimed then in goes in to a mutual account and is used how our wonderful Govt. decides on how it should be distributed. We have collected billions of tax dollars over the past 15 to 20 yrs that has been unclaimed by legal and illegal alike and our US Govt. has spent most of it on wars and NAFTA and trades with other countries. My current concern is the refugees they are bringing over here from several Muslim influenced countries and housing and feeding them with our tax dollars. We do not know if they are sympathizers with their countries current Jamas or Jihad problems. We don't even know how long we will be taking care of them. Those of you that are my age (38) or older can understand because we were around in the mid 70's during the Grain Embargo, the Oil Crisis, the first Hostage Crisis, and plan jackings, from the middle eastern extremists. I am not against Muslims or Middle Easterners and am definately not a racist. I am more worried about our national security and the issues this will cause with people who are racists and the stress on the economy in the towns they will reside in. No one asked us what we thought of it. They had this planned and blew the smoke screen of "illigal immigration" to keep you occupied while they did this.
Think first - get the facts - think again - then do something.
Media hype and gossip about big govt. has started wars - remember the civil war? The war with Japan? They all started from misinformation. My favorite saying: "DON'T BE SHEEP" Be politically involved with the facts, don't worry about being politically correct.
