I believe you are trying to ask, "What should our new president do about the illegal immigration problem in this country?"
If in fact that is what you were going for, the answer is , enforce current immigration laws.
Plus-Anyone found to be here illegally should be immediately deported and permanently disqualified from applying for citizenship.
The punishment must be harsh enough that people will actually be deterred from trying to illegally immigrate.
I would round them all up and send them back where they came from and seal the borders and end all immigration for ever, not even student visa's
The legal immigrants nothing, they are just fine but as for the illegal ones, it would be open season on them.

The immigrants aren't a problem, but as for the ILLEGALS, I would ask for volunteers to help me kick their butts back to their place of origin then I would ask those same volunteers to help me build an electric fence on our border to the south.
I'll deport them no matter how long it takes and then charge their countnries for the expenses.

I'd deport all of them I could find. I'd also set up a toll free anonymous tip line for people to report potential illegal immigrants. I would impose heavy fines on employers that are caught with illegal workers, and with those fines I would build a wall on the border with landmines and barbed wire 50 feet deep on either side of the wall. All inmates would sent back to their countries and the country would be charged for the cost of keeping them. The money collected from that would be refunded to the American people. Same for illegals who obtained medical care. I'd also make the information for citizenship easier to obtain, because anyone who wants to come in the right way should be able to. All immigrants would be required to read and write English.
I like the part above about refusing citizenship to prior illegals.
Which ones? If you mean the Mexicans, I'd say I would improve trade relations with Mexico and work out mutually beneficial arrangements with them. US needs the workers and Mexico has abundant human capitol in close proximity. The myth of "Made in America" has already been debunked. It's time to debunk another myth--"Made by Americans".

It's funny that in Mexico if you tried to enter their country illegally, they put you in jail and then send you right back to your nation of origin.
If I won the election, I'm finishing up the wall between the US and Mexico and rounding up illegal immigrants and deporting them. Also, I'd be instructing the Department of Justice to go after these corporations that hire illegals. Large fines would be a good deterrent. On the flip side, I'm doing a major overhaul of Immigration and Naturalization Services, that's part of the problem right there. We need to streamline the process so people don't have to wait as long to be allowed in legally.
I have no problem with giving people that want to come to the United States a fresh start and welcome them with open arms. But I do not want them here illegally, and they certainly can't be here illegally and given access to Social Security, etc...without being here legally.
Get a bill PASSED that grants amnesty to illegals currently in country. However, also establish strict time-lines (i.e. 6 months from the time the bill is signed into law) & double the application costs.
If you are caught after the 6-months & it can be proven you've had the entire time to gain citizenship, automatic deportation to include anchor babies.
If you commit a serious crime (drugs, armed robbery, breaking & entering, etc) before citizenship is granted, automatic deportation.
If charged before citizenship is granted & convicted afterward, automatic deportation & penalized the court costs & processing fees (mexico would probably request 1/2 the money).
Good hard working immigrant should be given a fair & responsive oppportunity. I have no problem w/ documented migrant workers. I have no problem w/ people sending money home go support their families. I DO have a problem w/ people thinking "America is only for Americans," because that is pure igorant biggotry. And, I do have a problem w/ permanent illegal immigrants.
Allow them in, & give them a shot to become citizens.

HLB, what a truely clueless response. Illegal immigrants come here for the jobs. They are less concerned about citizenship. I understand/support the idea of providing motivation to gain citizenship. However, barring them from ever being naturalized will not solve the problem. They will only swim cross the river again. That law will only create more paperwork & Supreme Court constitutionality hearings. It will not solve anything.
The first thing I would do is level the field. No political or religious asylum.That means no preferential treatment not for Cuba or Israel or anyone else. Our southern border would be sealed and guarded by border agents and national guard with the right to defend themselves. I would penalize all businesses hiring illegals and massive sweeps of areas like Miami, L.A., or Brighton Beach in Brooklyn. All immigrants would have to know English and there would be no requirements to speak a foreign language unless you work for an international company. Most of all I would listen to the citizens of the U.S.A. and not the special interest groups such as the ACLU.

That depends on the immigrants actions, did they correctly apply and engage in all neccessary processes, or did they dig a tunnel and invade in a disrespectful manner, and steal SS#- I would base my response on the methods used to enter, if they are favorable then so will be my response.

So that means she would rather have illegals here to stay, plus she would also want the illegals who commited a violent crimes, plus she would want them to break into her house and steal her belongings, plus she would want us American tax payers to pay for their stay and for their hospital visits. Plus, she would want them to smuggle drugs into our country so they can get into the hands of our children. I call that totally ignorant of her.
I would immediately secure ALL borders. I would send all illegal immigrants back, but first need the votes from not only from the government leaders, but from the American people. Wait, there shouldn't be any votes to send illegals back...if our government owns school buses, then we can use those buses to send them back. Greyhounds would be good too! This would take years though, but I will get the job done with the help of the American people. The big companies should find out who has legal documents before hiring them and do a background search to see if they are here legally.
Also, big companies should get searched for illegals, farmers, or any other company should be investigated for hiring illegals and they should get fined as well.
My priority would be to tighten all borders and to protect the American people!
Grant them amnesty and let them pay a fine of $5000. Do anyone out there know how to calculate? $5000 * 12 million = $60,000,000,000. plus lawyers fees, application fees and medical fees. It would give a push to our economy when we are wasting billions of dollars in Iraq. Moreover, they will pay taxes once they got their papers and help us to pay for some national debts of more then $3 trillion. These illegals are one hard working lot and not like some Americans hanging out by the corner in Times Square begging for money. Cheers to the hard working Mexicans.
Send the illegals back, close the border with Mexico and arrest everyone who hires illegals. Arrest one or two that hire illegals and that will put a stop to it.
