I would like to know the best way to marry and bring someone from Philippines to the U.S.A..?
Answer:
Good lord people. He is not asking for your personal opinion on whether to marry this lady.
The K-1 fiance visa is generally the fasted way to bring your fiance to the US for the purpose of marriage and adjustment of status to a permanent resident. To start the process you (the US citizen) needs to file the I-129F petition for a fiance. To see guidelines on filing the petition, see http://www.familybasedimmigration.com/fo...
The fastest way is by obtaining a tourist visa.Have her come here on this visa, get married and then start the sponsorship process. But please check with INS to follow proper procedure...Best of luck and congratulations!
A buddy of mine married a Filipina while he was in the Philippines, then spent several frustrating years trying to get her over here legally. The U.S. gov't made it very difficult for him. Then my brother brought his girlfriend from Colombia here on a fiance visa, no problem. He was expected to marry her within a certain time period, but it didn't work out that way, so she was supposed to go home. Instead, she vanished into the great herd of illegal immigrants. My brother is still legally responsible for her. Meanwhile, my buddy finally got his wife over, but she won't work, and she wants him to sponsor two zillion of her relatives into the country. Think long and hard (no pun intended) about what you're doing.
Think long and hard about doing this. It may not necessarily be love from her part. Perhaps more ulterior motives.
Petition the INS for a fiancee visa. That is the quickest and easiest. If you marry her in the Philippines, there is more red tape and will take longer.
