The Fort Dix incident is an example of why we need to stop illegal immigration by ALL races. It seems you've got a bit of biggotry going on here. I don't like Islam (I've studied it!), but to say that you'd rather have a thousand CRIMINALS crossing our borders of ANY ethnicity than one legal Muslim immigrant is a bit on the extreme.

as i recall, the initial immigration debate centered around tighter restrictions so as to reduce "a terrorist threat." but now i detect a wave of xenophobia sweeping certain camps within the nation. it does seem like a foreboding development, this fear of "illegal" latinos doesn't it? Aren't we all just a little illegal, though - unless we're Native American?
Um a Muslim is not an entire race of people. A Muslim is a follower of the Islam faith. In other words a Muslim can be any color, any nationality and from anywhere in the world. Even Americans can be Muslim should they choose to be. On the other hand illegal immigrates pouring into our borders raise a ton of problems. They too could be extremists, they are taking our jobs, they are milking our government for billions of dollars through food stamps, medical care, and much more. If you have a job your the one paying for them to come over here and bring everyone they know.
Then they take our American dollars and send them back to the left overs in Mexico. Our 100 dollars is equal to 1000 dollars in Mexico.

Illegal immigration has damaged us economically, as well as has damaged our schools' ability to educate our own children and our hospitals' ability to serve our own sick, much more than terrorists have.
I'd rather have 1000 illegal immigrants from Mexico in our country than 12 million from all countries combined.
The problem is that our southern border is not just poorly gaurded, but sees so much illegals crossing it that it's very easy for someone to cross there - Mexican or otherwise. To secure that border, we'd have to secure it against everyone, and that means stopping not a thousand, but probably hundreds of thousands of Mexicans, just to get a handful of possible terrorists entering through Mexico. (And, if the tide were stemmed, they probably wouldn't even try to go in through Mexico, they might try Canada).
Also, a lot of radicals had already entered the country, anyway, and can even get in legally - you can't always tell from a background check who's been 'radicalized.'
So, they're really mostly sepparate issues. Both need to be dealt with, neither can be dealt with at the border that well.
For illegals, the best (most effective) way to deal with the issue would be to crack down on employers. Each illegal intercepted at the border stops that one illegal from getting through, that one time. Each employer who stops employing illegals gets rid of all the illegals he employed, from then on. Much more efficient.
The same goes with terrorism, in a slightly different way. You can't possibly stop ever terrorist from entering the country, but you can deter terrorist attacks, making them an ineffective tool for the enemy.
What we should be more concerned about is our continuing( our, meaning US policy) manifest belligerence toward the worlds countries. This isolation will, soon; translate into an isolated target with no friends, just other countries picking our bones. History is NOT swayed by our arrogance!

Well I see where you're going, but I disagree. Illegal aliens are coming in overwhelming numbers and they make it easier for all kinds of people to blend in on the fringes of society. I'm willing to carry around a national ID card because I have nothing to hide, and I'll proudly flash that baby when asked because I'm an American citizen, and those who aren't should get nailed and deported.

First off, I think is real hard to tell the difference between a radical muslim and a normal muslim. A normal muslim can become radical overnight.
I would definitely be less concerned about illegal aliens from Mexico. That doesn't mean I like it the fact that their are a huge numbers of illegal aliens in this country. I know mexico has pretty tight immigration laws. They wouldn't put up with the kind of illegal immagration that we in the US have to.
There's a lot jobs that used to be good paying and now don't pay squat because 1st generation mexicans take them. I don't think second generation mexican americans are going to put up with the crummy jobs their parents took and appreciated. In my observation mexicans on average are very racist and hate us Gringos. Take the Miss American Booing episode. Why would I want people like that in my country. So, I do fear their will be consideralbe social unrest in the future from the huge non-integrated mexican population.
Having said all those negative things about illegal immagrants from mexico, that problem is nothing compared to what countries like France are going to face with their Islamic popluations. As much tension as there is between Gringos and mexicans we share a lot in common. We share a lot of common interest history and values. Muslim's don't share our values. Their values have not changed since the 12th century. They have their own and are very proud of them. And once their population gets to a critical mass they, as an obligation, will impose their views on host society, either violently or non-violently.
Muslims are a danger to our national security. Mexicans are an asset to the health of our economy . So I must conclude that 1000,000 Mexican immigrants (undocumented) do less harm than 1 legal muslim.
I think people have a tendency to forget the immigration reform bill covers EVERYONE not just Hispanics.There are dangers coming here far worse than Mexicans.Let's not forget.
The point isn't that they are Mexicans coming over illegally it's that the anyone can come over the Mexican Border - even Muslims! Just fly to Mexico and walk on over......
