Since 4th of July was yesterday, I was wondering, what are you most grateful for as an American?
Answer:
I am grateful for those who fought and are still fighting for this country and I am grateful for the patriots I see here. It makes me proud to be an American!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
The freedom of speech! The freedom to wake up in the morning, and buy some coffee from whichever coffee place I want (even if it is Quick Trip) The freedom to choose, to live! TO LOVE MY COUNTRY AND SERVE IT PROUDLY!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
My freedoms, also. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
Independence! The constitution, Bill of rights, liberty and freedom. Too bad we now live under a dictatorship. maybe we can get the power back people?
burger king!
Being able to speak my mind on mytend.com and not get arrested or killed for it..!!!!
True. Freedom, fought for by our ancestors. We have to safeguard it, so we can pass on a country as strong, prosperous and free to our descendants. Virtually nowhere else do the conditions exist for such a degree of liberty, opportunity and security.
Yes, the freedom. My home, my family, mostly my husband and that I'm not homeless or hungry. We've worked for what we have though and that's what makes us Americans!
I'm proud of my country, and proud of my fellow Americans.
Well I watched the Revolutionary War on the History Channel for 4 hours yesterday and it was fantastic.
To answer your question I am grateful for our Country to even exist given the cards were stacked against us militarily as becoming a Nation.
Our forefathers would turn in there grave if they saw the State of illegal immigration taking place.
By far freedom. For example YA! where else can so many people voice so many different opinions about so many subjects. Whether I agree or disagree with them, I respect their right to voice that opinion.
I'm proud that I get to pay for insurance, being a natural born citizen of this country, and my fellow co-workers who are not, get insurance for free. I'm proud that I have to pay taxes and my co-workers, who again are not from this country, don't.
I'm proud that since I am gay, that I am not truly "free" to do the things that "regular" Americans can do.
All sarcasm aside, I am most proud that I know things will change. Things will get better, because we, as Americans, don't sit around and wait for things to change. We make an effort to get things done. I am proud to know, that one day, things will be set right.
I am thank full for those that have sacrificed their lives, and those who lay their lives out on the line every day so that each one of us can sleep in peace at night and enjoy the freedoms that we all enjoy.
I'm here.I'm old...I got a wonderful education and I am here legally...I am proud of my parents and proud to be here...
The ability to do as I please within the confines of the law.
See ya!
I agree with you, Ozzie and Mystery. God Bless America. America does have faults but we have freedom! Yes, even freedom to choose Burger King. Pray that we continue to have that freedom.
I'm thankful of our servicemen and women who are doing what i probably would never have the guts to do. I'm thankful to have the right to do whatever I do every day. I'm thankful for the opportunities that have come my way throughout my life. I'm thankful for my home and my family and to know my kids will have more opportunities in life than I had.
freedom of speech
I am thankful that I live in a country where evils such as racial intolerance can be overcome. I am thankful that I can be born poor as an infant, spend my teen years in a middle class income range, and elevate myself to an upper class income as an adult. I am thankful that we can disagree and still be friends. And I am thankful that for all of our problems in this country, people in other countries still believe it is worth risking death and second class treatment to try to get here.
