Does anyone know whether an application is denied for a class 1 misdemeanor if charges are dismissed through a diversion program (via plea agreement)? I know there are crimes of Moral Turpitude and some that cause deportation or the inability to leave the country (inadmissibility)..

No - illegals may have three misdemeanors.
All tax laws broken will be forgiven.
All employers who broke our tax laws employing illegals will be granted amnesty, but only if they employed illegals.
Gang members can renounce their gang membership and stay.
All deportees will be granted a taxpayer funded attorney.
Certain felons will also be granted amnesty if the deportation will cause "undue hardship" to them or a family member.
it will not be denied, you would have had to spend a year in jail or your sentence would have been to spend a year in jail, even if you had gotten off of good behavior and your sentence was for one year, then you would have been denied
