The first Mexicans to become part of the United States never crossed any border. Instead, the border crossed them.

One more important piece of land changed hands in 1854, when the U.S. bought what is now southern Arizona and New Mexico from the Mexican government for $10 million. This land deal, known as the Gadsden Purchase, brought the U.S. a much-coveted railroad route, and helped open the West to further expansion.
With two strokes of a pen, the larger nation had expanded its size by one-third. And almost overnight, tens of thousands of Mexican citizens had become residents of the United States.
White people in Unites States descend from English. That will make them immigrants, and they are not from America like mexican or other hispanic people (yes, Hispanics are Americans because they were born in the America continent), they are from Europe. That would make white people even more immigrant that they already are. So, who was here first?
The concept of illegal immigrants did not exist until legislation passed in 1918. So nobodies ancestors were legal, but then again, they weren't illegal either.

Invade the U.S.? Brush up on your history. And the notion that Mexicans are indiginous form the dawn of time is absurd as well. Why do you think they all speak SPANISH? You can call them pilgrims if you want to, but stop living in La-La land as pertains to this perpetual fantasy that Mexico has any claim whatsoever on any parcel of land now designated as United States territory.
The ancestors of current U.S Citizens (sic) did not invade the U.S. There was no United States when they arrived.
In addition, "Pilgrims" is the name commonly applied to early settlers of the Plymouth Colony in present-day Massachusetts. Not all European settlers.
Mexicans that are now arriving in the US are not being "pushed" by religious and political persecution, for the most part. They are being "pulled" by economic opportunity. These are separate and distinct forces in migration dynamics.
The original settlers should not be called illegal immigrants or pilgrims. The Mexicans and other nationalities arriving should not be called pilgrims or illegal immigrants. They should be called undocumented immigrants.
And there is a need for immigration reform in order to document them.
What law did they break? If they broke an Indian law, then the Indians should have enforced it.
Actually, if the Indians knew what was good for them, the should have chased out the first invaders or from Europe or controlled the amount of immigration from Europe and required Europeans to assimilate into Indian society.
Maybe present day Americans should learn from the mistakes of the American Indians of the past.

My Ancestors came from Norway, but before they could leave the shores of Norway, they had to recieve permission and be Legal. Way back in 1856, the Americans said, that the Norwegians are invading America. So the Mexicans are not the only ones, who were discrimmintated against. Same goes for the Irish. They were treated worse then any Immigrants. So were the Bohemians. I feel so sorry for the Mexican illegals, because they are desperate. I wonder why Mexico is driving their people North ?? Why can't the Mexican Government help their people and show them the right way to depart ? Norway help the Norwegians do it the right way. The Pilgrims were the first ones to step on American soil, at Plymouth Rock. That was way before my Ancestors came. My Ancestors came in through Grosse Ille, in Quebec, Canada. I found it when I was searching for more information about illegal immigration (I like to get informed before forming about an opinion of something) and guess what I found. I guess that would have happened zillion years ago.
Huge difference. Back in the day when the English came to the U.S., immigration laws didn't exist. The English/Americans struck deals and/or fought wars with the Native Americans to acquire land, as they did with other Europeans holding claim to various parts of what is now known as USA.this includes Mexico. Initially, deals were struck with Native Americans and others for the land...we are all aware NOW that advantages were later taken, deals were broken, and crimes committed, but at the time the Pilgrims came over no laws were being broken. The pilgrims/immigrants were here for DECADES before the U.S. was even it's own nation. Later on when acts were committed against the Native Americans we can all agree that those acts should be looked upon as crimes upon the native people. Nowadays as the immigrants/pilgrims come to this country and break OUR laws those are crimes just as well.

If you start to discuss history then you should know history. The first to settle here were not Pilgrims looking for religious freedom. They were the Virginia Company and settled on the James River. The Pilgrims didn't show up until 17 years later and were not allowed to settle in Virginia because of their radical beliefs. They were forced to go north and landed in Mass. They were the only group of people who had witch trials in what is now the US. Second. There was no such thing as Mexicans. The Spanish came and conquered the Aztecs. By intermingling with the Indians mostly through rape at the beginning produced a group of people of called Peons. The poorly paid people of the landowners. Mexicans are not native Indians. While there are some pure native tribes in the Americas they are probably not found in Mexico or North America. Your comments that we invaded America also applies to you and your ancestors also. Native Americans that live on the Res must have a certain percentage of direct linage in order to be considered Indian, if they had to be pure indian there wouldn't be many there. Now we are working on freedom of religion and haven't had a witch trial in years. Unfortunately Mexico has not advanced as far in helping the poor class that the Spain created in the first place. If your pride in being Mexican is so strong become a freedom fighter for your country. Right the wrongs of the past in your country. Don't run and hide in another country. If you do not have the strength to stand up to your govt then please don't came to where I have made my home and tell me I have no right to be here. Right or wrong my ancestors fought for this country and they fought with each other to maintain this country. They didn't cut and run to another country. The first Europeans to come to America weren't pilgrims they were conquistadors, and there was plenty of room for everyone back then, resources, etc. People were killed over religion and gold, not space to live or fertile valleys.
Illegal aliens should be allowed in freely, but they should be denied public assistance of any kind, including government sponsored health care. They can still get help from charities. And also denied any affirmative action rights. But that should go for anyone. It's my right to hire whoever I want to work in my business.
Pilgrims left for religious reasons. Others came later for economic reasons. The difference is in that the Indians did not have an established culture throughout the land with established laws. They themselves were in a constant state of tribal warfare. We are an established country and although we have differences in opinion, we are not in a physical war with each other as our laws prevent that from happening.
The illegals and their supporters are attempting to undermine our laws and take what is ours. The Indians fought but were unable to stop the encroachment of the Europeans due to their lack of organization, mass communication, and they were technologically to far behind the Europeans.We don't have that problem.
Illegal immigrants are a completly different case from the pilgrims. You are not running from you are running to, you have already destroyed your country, and you are trying to invade and take over an established country in direct violation of established laws.
The Indians fought but were unprepared for the style of fighting or the technology of the Europeans.
