I do understand; the constructive way to repair this would have been for the Mexican and American governments to create a fast-track work visa program especially designed for validated Mexicans with no criminal record.
That's all over, now, though. Mexico produced a comic book-style pamphlet showing people how to illegally enter the U.S., and the U.S. tried to shove this bogus amnesty bill down our throats.

No I don't know how hard it is for a poor Mexican to enter this country legally. I don't care either. And I don't care what their point of view is. They can either enter legally or not at all.
Does anyone know how hard it is for people of other ethnicities to get into America? Why is it that we have such a racist policy in which Dominicans and Chinese are sent back whenever they come on rafts and in cargo containers, but it is OK for Mexicans to stay?

Let's apply the law equally to everyone. If you come here illegally, you are sent back. It doesn't matter what color you are!

You are making the same argument that drug dealers and bank robbers and thieves use. Thats not our problem. The U.S. can't solve every problem out there, nor can we just let anybody who wants to enter this great country just enter becuase they are on hard times.

I have to agree with Titus. The coyotes get a huge amount of money from these illegal families to get them across the border. So, if these families have that money to pay them, they should stay there and keep making that type of money...then you know they have a good job right? If there is a family who is starving, then they need to do what it takes to remain in their country and pressure their government and leaders. They should take up any job they can take to keep their family from going hungry.
They shouldn't pay these coyotes anything, but invest that money on themselves. They should not cross here illegally, but come here 'legally'.
People who come here illegally should not be here. If they break the laws of this country, they should pay the consequences and be sent back to where they came from. That does not give them the right to come here and child after child after child that they can't afford and expect the tax payers to support them . What about the negative affect it is having on our country?

In this country (USA), Unions are on the way out, while Terrorists are on the way in.
The problem is that the US cannot allow the number of people that want to immigrate to do so. Beyond that it should try to fairly distribute the sustainable immigration quotas across all races/populations. The only hope is for the vast majority of the world population is for them to correct the problems in their own countries. Apparently there are some big ones.
Keep in mind that the difference in standard of living etc. with Mexico is related to crossing an invisible line. Why is that? Why are there air-conditioned malls on one side of a river and open sewers on the other? I don't think it is the people, they are hard working. The problem is the government and/or the distribution of wealth. Only they can fix that.

The Law:
Under Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code, "Improper Entry by Alien," any citizen of any country other than the United States who:
Enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers; or
Eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers; or
Attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact;
has committed a federal crime.
Violations are punishable by criminal fines and imprisonment for up to six months. Repeat offenses can bring up to two years in prison. Additional civil fines may be imposed at the discretion of immigration judges, but civil fines do not negate the criminal sanctions or nature of the offense.
(3)(A) Any person who, during any 12-month period, knowingly hires for employment at least 10 individuals with actual knowledge
that the individuals are aliens described in subparagraph (B) shall be fined under title 18 or imprisoned for not more than 5 years, or
both.
(B) An alien described in this subparagraph is an alien who -
(i) is an unauthorized alien (as defined in section 1324a(h)(3)
of this title), and
(ii) has been brought into the United States in violation of this subsection.
(4) In the case of a person who has brought aliens into the United States in violation of this subsection, the sentence otherwise provided for may be increased by up to 10 years if -
(A) the offense was part of an ongoing commercial organization
or enterprise;
(B) aliens were transported in groups of 10 or more; and
(C)(i) aliens were transported in a manner that endangered
their lives; or
(ii) the aliens presented a life-threatening health risk to
people in the United States.
Gee, or else they could go to an area of Mexico that has jobs. Mexico has only 1% higher unemployment rate than the US. The wages are lower, but the cost of living is also lower. They should just go to a place in thier country and get a job.
But no, they see that they can make more money here and think they don't have to do anything to get here.
NO I would not break the law to make money. No I would not commit a crime if my children were hungry-I would go get a job. If I commit a crime and get locked up, then where would my children be??
ALSO, I would not drag my children here illegally and put them in a criminal setting. I would not also put them for a risky future where they have to run from the law their whole lives. I care more about my kids than that.
Also, if they have bribe money, they have money to file the correct forms and get the right papers. Bribes are 10,000 and more to come here illegally. It is so much way less to come here legally. They are just too impatient to wait.
