Why is everyone so upset about the person with TB exposing others , when there are millions of people coming?
Do you hear how to protect your self from getting those diseases , because your chance of contracting one of those is much higher .

I think some people are missing the point. Besides the fact that illegals DO bring diseases into this country knowingly or unknowingly, a border agent let this man by, even though his passport had been flagged. Our border agents are letting way too much crucial stuff pass by, and we need to make sure agents receive proper training and continue to be checked to make sure they are following proper procedures. Citizen or not, he shouldn't have been allowed to be in the air, though of course as an educated man he should have known better and should certainly be held accountable for his actions, which may have harmed countless people.
This particular strain of TB has very strong antibiotic resistance. Most of the current treatment won't be able to eliminate the bug in the patient. If an outbreak occurs, lots of people may die from it.
Most of the other disease can be treated much easier

The whole point is he knew that he wasn't suppose to fly because of his condition. People can die from TB (ex-hubby had it), so this is not joke. I feel that he should be jailed for willful endangerment.
I wonder where he got it since from what I have read that massively resistant form of TB is pretty much a product of foreign countries where TB is rampant and resistant to drugs. However, in this day of air travel, he could have traveled to one of those countries, for all I know.
I agree that it is alarming we now have to get TB screenings to volunteer in our kids's schools in LA when the disease was all but eradicated here, years ago.
The person who exposed everyone is a US citizen, but you keep insisting it is illegals bringing in these diseases, if had been a illegal immigrant you would have been screaming at the top of your lungs. People are upset because he did not just fly on one flight.. he flew on four.
When you go into a foreign country you have to go to a doctor and make sure you have all your shots. That way you don't affect other people or harm yourself. This prick knew he had it and was told by his doctor that he doesn't recommend he flies and he did anyway. He didn't care about anyone else but himself. That's why people are upset with him. He's a selfish punk.
Also, on the news earlier they said that he might have picked it up in a Russian jail. They didn't say why he was there though.
They already have a Russian in quarantine with the same thing here in the US. We are going through an epidemic here with the skin infection (staph, I think) that Has made our Jails and hospitals literal breeding grounds where they are "warning" poor, over- populated, neighborhoods of the problem. Now sorry.these poor "over-populated" areas are majority hispanic neighborhoods with mostly illegals. It is infecting the poor black neighborhoods because they have come in for the cheap housing and are running them out.
Our news here says...if your flying, put neo-sporine in your nose..don't get arrested or sick and use the wipes (disinfectant) at your local grocery store. For those that don't know.our stores are putting canisters of disinfectant wipes where you pick up your shopping carts to wipe the handles and seat before you use it. Many of our cashiers have already started using surgical gloves to protect themselves. They do have dog poop bags for your walks in parks.but nothing where our children play or anything else. (Buses, trains, restaurants, etc,)
You are definately right, not just TB, but every other disease that has suddenly popped up. New immunization requirements should prove that to everyone.
