Why cant "mexican-american" people engage in the immigration debate logically?
Answer:
Some can. Some have divided loyalties. Some haven't a leg to stand on in justifying their positions. In football isn't it 'the best offense is a good defense'? In many of their cases there is no defending their position, so they go on the of fence.
I heard a woman say on a radio talk show awhile back, that we are all Americans because we live on the continent of America. I'm sure the Canadians would love to hear that they are all Americans and also the people of Europe would like hearing that they are all the same big country because they are on the same continent. Looks like there is a lot of illogical thinking going on.

for the same reasons a liberal can not argue with logic. If logic is used, their argument is defeated.

yeah but not all mexican-americans do this. i know mexican americans that dont want illegals here either. my wife is venezuelan and she doesnt like illegals either.
I think your question is flawed, to tell you the truth. Perhaps many legal Mexican-Americans sympathize with the plight of illegal immigrants from Mexico, but I don't think you can make a blanket statement such as yours.
because they have a high sense of self entitlement for whatever reason. When they are back home they have to bribe people to get their electricity turned on and live like a dog in the street. When they come here they expect everyone to give them the world.
They should know their role.
They are either Mexican, or they are American with Hispanic heritage...they can't be loyal to both!
The government is allowing illegals to enter, we need to start at the bottom, the police need to uphold the law, the states need to enforce the law, the govt. needs to assist the states in stopping the illegal invasion or patriots will need to form militia's to enforce the laws our govt and states are ignoring and send the govt officials to prison!

Noting "they say" claims about white america (oh, which America is that? the continent? both continents? oh...you mean the United States, only one of the countries in North America ... another of which, ironically, is Mexico) and name calling is painting with an extremely broad brush. And I would say that many critics of current immigration policies and practices are equally naive, prejudiced, and narrow-minded (and, yes, illogical).
Because Mexicans know they are immagrants and need to get out of their country but they don't want to go back to their craphole of a country. If they don't like their country then they need to get over here legally.
Fact: minimum wage in Mexico is about $3.50 A DAY, which makes your allowance look like a princely sum.
Fact: enough top American political campaign contributors hire aliens who entered US illegally to get Dem and Repub parties in every state indicted for RICO violations.
Fact: your political leaders are already giving away your tax money to every other foreign country, even the ones that actually produce terrorist car bombers... just read US Code Title 22.
Fact: anybody reading this is obviously not sweating it in the fields picking tomatoes at any amount of pay per day.

Do you mean pro-immigration people? are you assuming all Hispanics are for comprehension reform for immigrants and that all whites are anti-illegals.
I think you are saying that because you are an anti-illegal and you want to look good and accurate but you are wrong.
Most of the anti-illegals argue and only bring up Mexicans and Mexico to argue. Sometimes, they bring hate and racism, like, (when talking about Mexicans or Hispanics) "why do they have 20 babies, why do they dumb down our school systems, why to they come here and invade and rape and kill Americans??" This is how most of you anti-illegals have to come down to to make a point. There are more and more idiots out there who will use Carlos Slim (the now, richest man in the world) so they can try to prove a point against illegal immigrants. And it's getting pretty old and sad, and not to mention, irrelevant.
