Their is NOTHING WRONG with the immigrants bring their culture. But their are laws to abide by and I don't speak any other language then English and here in this country we speak English and abide by the laws of America not any other countries. I like learning other cultures. The illegals are ready here and get used to it. They do the job that the Americans will not do. I can prove it everyday

Hey RICH, I hate to enlighten you but it's not just whites that are racist because the two groups you picked out in your quote are white majority. The Latinos have/had there gangs (Latin Kings) blacks have/had there gangs (Black Panthers etc). Oh and the ACLU. Well, I basically agree that some diversity is a good thing, but hey, there are a few "enriching" cultural practices I could really live a full and happy life without ever becoming acquainted with.

i love learning about new cultures. The problem that I see is that a person comes here to be a part of OUR culture, but when you are living here as in Mexico, for example, then what happens to our culture? I do not like seeing billboards all over the place in another language. Nor do I like having to choose for #2 for English when I call a business.
I have no problem with those that want to immigrate here. The more the merrier. But I believe that it is very important to become part of our culture and society. THAT is what America is about. We need to blend these cultures, not divide each other with our differences.

The opposition to the new immigration bill is NOT about whether or not the country can be enriched by allowing immigrants in. The opposition comes from the fact that these people are doing something illegal AND are basically getting rewarded for it. Don't even get me started on the troubles that people have getting visas legally... I am living proof and it totally irks me that I have a hard time getting a visa and someone who comes in illegally will be allowed to have one. Just not fair.

There is nothing wrong with bringing in new cultures. The problem arises when illegal immigrants demand we become their culture. Simple isn't it? Too bad you don't get it.
You don't think them demanding we include spanish in everything and teaching their children in our public schools in spanish a sign of their demand to become more of their culture? If you don't see that then take your head out of the clouds.
I enjoy the mixture of cultures we have in the United States, but there is suppose to be a unifying integration as well. If we are spending so many tax dollars on publishing materials in Spanish, then why are we not doing the same for other cultures. We are over compensating.

Ricmon87, you can't separate cultural effects from the legal/illegal question. The Latino culture is rich, varied, interesting, and has added to all the other cultures that make up America. The people of any race who come here to become Americans have a right to celebrate their ethnic roots while also assimilating themselves into our society.
The people who come here to work--and send the money or take the money back to their own country, bring drugs, interfere with our politics, create turmoil and then go home after they have helped undermine the laws of our country; these people are enemies of our nation and should be treated as such. Because they disrespect our law by the very act of stepping into our country, and many of them continue to break laws after they get here, they can stick their wonderful culture up their collective A**s. I will learn everything I need to know about Latin culture from the Latino people who have been here legally for years and are proud of their heritage but also understand that when you go to another coountry you must obey the laws of that country.
Sure, we are going to your real country and demand that the locals embrace our culture, after you beat us to a pulp, we would be on the first plane out or in your jails. If our country is so rotten why do you or yours want to sneak across our borders and live in such a trashy country
