You are not the only one who is annoyed with the illegals who refuse to assimilate. You should not have to accomodate the foreigners (legal or not), the foreigners should be eager to adapt to American culture.
You are not racist, you are making a politically incorrect statement that illegal aliens, their American born children, and their American (traitor) supporters would label as racist. The reason why the illegal migration/invasion problem has grown out of hand, is because of political correctness.
I would never befriend a trepassing criminal, and since you still were labeled racist by their supporters after admitting to accepting one of them as a friend, this should be a wake up call for you.
Illegals are not concerned with what you want, and how you feel. Just like the white trespassers who migrated across lands, breaking treaties, birthing babies, and expecting all American Indians to learn English just over a hundred years ago. It's coming around again, but this time it's a fake "peaceful" movement, with the hope that their persistance will pay off in amnesty. Illegals don't care about the effects their migration is doing to the American poor that are having to struggle harder because of the competition.
If Americans continue to worry about political correctness when expressing their dislike for what is going on, nothing will be done to stop it. Express yourself, there is nothing wrong with not wanting to adapt to someone else's culture and language in your country.

The word is ILLEGAL, which means they are openly breaking the law. Allowing this, even condoning this flaunting of the system undermines our entire legal and moral code. I think the fact that they get away with it makes them disrespect this country and our way of life. If they had worked hard to get here, gone thru the proper procedure, then they would appreciate this nation, and our country a bit more.

As you can see from the answers, people care little. The problem is, we have to support them. and they make no effort to learn English. America is an english speaking country. The rest of the world laughs at our flailing aroung with the immigration issue. In Europe they would be thrown back across the border, and I applaud that.

This is what worries me: How do you know the woman with 12 kids, or the people at the fast food restaurant, are illegal? Even if you aren't a racist bigot, surely you can see how our particular upset over illegal immigrants from countries with darker skin or those who don't immediately speak our language, rather than over all illegal immigrants (such as those from Canada), certainly doesn't help the racial situation in the States.
Take action. Complain to the restaurant about their customer service and/or go somewhere else. Glare down the rude woman trying to cut in front of you. Don't get our country deeper into debt, and make things harder on the LEGAL immigrants of color, over a little discomfort on your part.

If someone doesn't agree with you, they play the race card and automatically you loose. Because you stand up for your country and believe the laws that was laid down by our forefathers you are a bigot. Since when is it racism for a person to want to stop the invasion and sheer destruction of our country? We are being invaded, we have no rights, we break the law we go to jail. They break the law they get a new SS card in a different name and move down the block. Do you know how to get a new SS card in a different name? I don't but Lord knows there are ways. When was the last time you broke the law and they told you the "system" was over crowded and let you go?

I don't know what state your in, but here in California illegal "immigration" is epidemic. Instead of combating the problem, it looks to me like we've just given up. I live up north and it almost seems as if I LIVE in Mexico! But you won't see me getting free medical when I'm sick. On the contrary, every year my insurance premiums go up $100-200 on average. Hmm, I wonder why? Could it be the multi-billion dollar burden illegals put on our state every year? And I surely can't work under the table (like the dozens of border brothers camped out in front of Home Depot every day) to offset my money issues! Seems as though that pesky Social Security number of mine always results in deductions to pay taxes. No speaky Engrish? No problem! Companies and even government entities provide any and all documentation in Español. Hell, I can pick up any household item and it'll have bilingual labeling on all six sides of the box. Isn't this the United States? Don't we speak English in this country? Public schools are having a wonderful time trying to deal with that particular problem, too. Again, billions of dollars are being spent on educating "naturalized" Mexican children, while those born to American citizens are being short-changed in the classroom.
I could go on, but that would be pointless because anyone living in a border state to Mexico is well aware of the problems. If you aren't, go get informed, find the facts and then be outraged and appalled. To feel "bugged" is okay. But you should mostly be BUGGED by what your state and local governments AREN'T doing about it.

No you aren't wrong, the woman with twelve kids knew what caused that with the first one, it was her choice, because some choose to have many children does not give them special privilege, she can wait her turn in line like everyone else. As far as eatery's, if they can't speak English well enough for me to understand them without difficulty, I leave and go somewhere they can. They don't deserve my business or my money if they couldn't take the time to learn my language in my country. No free rides here.
