Felon or illegal? Which should be hired?

I am one of millions of americans who right now can't get employment because of my felony background. But yet, any illegal immigrant can come over and get a job and we don't know what's that person's done in their country. I don't expect special treatment, but it upset's me as an american to know that ILLEGALS have no problem getting a job and I can't because of poor decision making as a young adult. Fair or foul?

Answer:
You are not only a felon, you are also a racist. The best way to treat a low-life like you is to ship you to Mexico. v= peace.
Felon should be hired. They are a legal citizen. Depending on the circumstances shouldn't be hired for certain jobs.
Illegal is definitely not an option.
An illegal alien has no right in this country.

Just because someone (a legal resident) has a felony on their background, it doesn't always mean it was a serious crime. Some individuals who were arrested because they were an addict driving with paraphernalia.

People can change their ways - as far as I'm concerned, depending on the felony, it shouldn't determine whether or not an individual can get some sort of employment. American citizens need to earn their own money to pay their expenses as well as illegal aliens (who get everything handed to them).

This illegal alien hiring and immigration needs to stop.
I've written letters to congressmen, the white house, and governor. What are you going to do?
Foul. Get an attorny or call the ACLU. Scream decrimination until someone listens. This illegal business has to stop.
Even though fellonies represent more serious crimes than immigration violations, those citizens who have paid thier debt to society should not have to face competition from illegal aliens any more than should citizens with no criminal record.
Of course they are breaking our laws and should be felons as well. So, until people wake up and realize we are being over run by illegals, nothing will be done. But answer your question. I would hire you IF I knew what you did and was able to do the job.
It's WRONG! Especially since most illegals are felons.
I agree with you my cousin is in same situation as you. the legal system forces former convicts into crime or poverty. if u do the crime then u do the time after that, You should be given back youre life.
NEITHER!!
Neither. Join the army instead and be at home, see what I mean by clicking this site.http://www.radaronline.com/from-the-maga...
I agree and I almost bet many american's do agree. I also love how politican's who have committed a crime can get into office. Many don't reveal it until it's brought out into the open. Yet they are the first ones to speak up on how you should be careful about hiring anyone with a felony.
I'd hire the felon before i would the illegal. it's bad when people get treated like that. how are they suppose to prove their self's if no one will give them a chance?
Foul!! One should not have to pay for anything after the fact the rest of their lives. Just for the note that includes home mortgages."smile" The felon pays his dues and should be entitled to any thing anyone else is.
I agree that illegals shouldn't be allowed to get jobs. They don't get very good ones. You could probably get the same ones they do.
businesses that hire illegals are committing a crime already. good for you, for trying to get a job. many americans complain about illegals taking their job while they sit on their couch all day. keep trying, maybe you can talk to your employer about what your poor decision as a young adult was, OR you can try to show some sort of examples that show you've turned your life around.
That is sad. I feel bad for you. Maybe you should try being a day laborer.
The felon should be hired. You have served your time, and now are still paying the price for something you did previously. Repeat offenders are another story, evidently they did not learn their lesson while incarcerated. We have all made poor decisions at one time or another, myself included. The illegal does not have the right to take a job from citizens of the US. However,I suppose if I was a Mexican citizen, I would try for a better life for myself. The US is a good place to live, let's try to keep it that way.
Felon. He's paid his (her) dues for the crimes they have committed. We have no way of knowing what an illegal has done. I mean they've already caught convicted child molesters and rapists that were set free that wouldn't have stood a chance to get jobs if their record was known. So many have multiple identies and really make a mockery of our "system" and how easy it is to "get around" if you know the right people. An honest person or one who's trying to be honest.doesn't stand a chance. They can track us from birth but we have over 12 MILLION people we have no idea what they have done. Not to mention in their "culture" girls are fair game for sex and rape is nothing more than foreplay. A guy can be busted for drugs yet an illegal gets set free at the border as long as it's under 500 LBS. As far as I'm concerned..this idea of background checks for jobs is a joke. Some people are nailed to the wall in a bargin because they can't afford good legal representation and others are let loose coz "it's their culture" or some organization is footing the bill for their "cause".

You are right...a citizen who has made a bad decision is penalized for life..yet we're to look the other way for illegals who we have no clue about.

Not to mention...why should I provide a work history, education, credit check and background check when others don't? I know many who are going for higher paying jobs this may not be an issue. There are more employees doing jobs at K-Mart going through "random" drug checks than the surgeon at your hospital. They are doing background checks for a warehouse worker but not someone in government. As a low level employee you can tell an off color joke and get fired but a professor at a college can talk of KILLING whites and taking over this country and NOTHING is done.

Job applications now don't just ask about FELONY CONVICTIONS.it's have you ever been charged with a crime beyond driving infractions. Charged and convicted are 2 different things. Both are a matter of public record and show-up on checks.

Even if you are convicted.you have paid the price for what our law allowes. Not every criminal gets caught and it's no more an assurance that Joe is any more likely to commit a crime that has a record, than Mike who just never got caught.

We have KIDS with DRUG charges on their high-school records because they had 2 asprins in their purse. Yet we have drug smugglers with no shadow of a record bringing POUNDS of drugs over our borders.

No I don't think our citizens are off base wanting a fair shot at things. There's just no consistancy anywhere for crimes. One guy does less and gets the book thrown at him in one state and another does worse in another state and gets probation. One guy gets the death penalty and another is on the streets because of a mistake with early release. It's a joke.
Just to clarify. People who enter the US without authorization are actually committing a civil infraction. Immigration courts are civil, not criminal courts.

I think you should stop looking for someone to blame for your mistakes. You're a FELON!
