Did you see this? I wonder who is telling the truth?
"The Republican National Committee, hit by a grass-roots donors' rebellion over President Bush's immigration policy, has fired all 65 of its telephone solicitors, Ralph Z. Hallow will report Friday in The Washington Times.
Faced with an estimated 40 percent fall-off in small-donor contributions and aging phone-bank equipment that the RNC said would cost too much to update, Anne Hathaway, the committee's chief of staff, summoned the solicitations staff last week and told them they were out of work, effective immediately, the fired staffers told The Times. ...
There has been a sharp decline in contributions from RNC phone solicitations, another fired staffer said, reporting that many former donors flatly refuse to give more money to the national party if Mr. Bush and the Senate Republicans insist on supporting what these angry contributors call "amnesty" for illegal aliens.
Answer:
I am one of those that flatly refused to give anymore money. I think they're right that contributions to the RNC is declining sharply. We fired a bunch of them in '06 and STILL they are not listening to those that put them there.
I'm voting Independent in the next election... There's absolutely no difference between democrats and republicans as I see it right now.
I think the GOP will be paying dearly for a very long time over this failed presidency.
And I don't think it's just the immigration issue.
I hope the bums in the RNC get the message. I hope they keep this up, I hope the people stay away and don't give them a dime. They are selling this country out and I has to stop! Money talks, BS walks..
I told them that they wasn't getting another dime until they grow some and kick McCain out.
I believe the fired employees. The Republicans better get their act together over the illegal immigration mess or they're going to be deported from office.
