They aren't here for the purpose of undermining our way of life, it just works out that way.
We speak English, see? They don't, and unlike all other immigrant groups, they won't. That undermines my way of life which includes an ability to speak with all Americans without learning additional languages.
I like to earn a living wage in my trade; a wage that supports my small family here, in America with an American cost of living and American bills. They don't; working for half what my family can survive on ( without welfare ) and that undermines our way of life. The inconvenient truth is: It doesn't matter that they don't WANT to undermine our way of life, it just matters that they ARE undermining it.

Some people forget that their family tree is immigrants. Most immigrants (legal or illegal) are here to find the better way of making a living and freedom. Some (criminals and terrorists) are her to destroy our freedom and way of life.
Many non-residents and non- American citizens have fought on the front lines of our wars and many have not made it back alive to claim their citizenship. They truly loved this country more than a lot of us who have took it for granted.

um probably because we don't like people in our country who are here illegally... If they are trying to be legal, they would have applied for a visa while still in their own country.. instead they come here and then apply... INS should deport people who do that... or the border patrol agents should be given permission to shoot them on sight as they come across the border...

I agree with you. I grew up in the Oregon School System from 1955 to 1968 and I couldn't even venture to guess how many of the kids I went to school with were of some "South of The Border" Country. Razor Jim brought up some interesting facts. We spend about as much on illegal immigrants in a year as we do on a WHOLE WEEK of the war in Iraq.
I think we can afford it. But it's not just illegals. We're spending a huge chunk of change to provide Social Services to people with full time jobs. Now the way I was brought up. if you work for a living, you should make a living, not a minimum wage so low that with both parents working, a family of four is still below the poverty line.
Everybody likes to point to the illegals as the problem. But, the problem is companies who exploit these people. They like to hire illegals because illegals are in no position to demand a living wage. All of those Social Services that go to illegals and the rest of the working poor are really subsidies for the companies that hire them.
Forget the wetbacks, go after the companies who hire them. In fact, when a company is convicted of hiring illegals, make them pay the difference between what they were paying their workers and a lving wage to the illegals that got caught in the raid as back pay. That way, we can ship the illegals back over the border with some money in their pockets and they won't have to come back as soon.
For that matter, why is the whole debate focussing on Mexicans? I live in a Mexican-Polish neighborhood. Except for the food and the language, they're pretty much identical cultures. Hardworking, Family Oriented Catholics who like beer and Polka Music.
Nobody's yelling about the illegal Russians, and they are far more a problem than Mexicans. Most of the illegal Russian men are KGusedtoB's who are taking over Organized Crime in America. Most of the women enter the country as White Slaves. So why aren't we paying more attention to them than to people who came here to work?

2. did you know that illegals donot have to show proof of who they really are like the rest of us.
3. did you know that if they legalize illegals that the U.S will be hit with spending over 30 billion dollars a year by guess who americans
4. did you know that when an illegal comes here within 30 days they are working and taking jobs the politicians say americans won't do, which is a lie.
5. did you know that we pay for their illegal children to over crowd our schools and because we as sanctuary cities cannot ask them to show proof of who they are the schools can't get proper funding to educate our children and ending results our taxes go up to pay for it
6. did you know for the same reason above our hospitals are closing because they cannot keep up with the over pouring of illegals who drive up the cost guess again for the same reason above.
7. did you know that illegals are working on many americans social security number's which is a felony.
