Welcome Notice ?

Welcome Notice , I -797 C , NOA -LPR-Card
Hi , i received today for the 5th Time a welcome notice (i arrived in the USA at the 25 December 2006). I never heard about that (i did hear about the Welcome Letter that new L.P.R .get). It says tht my immigrant visa packet from the P.o.E. arrived at the USCIS -office .
I already have the I-1551 Sticker (serves as a LPR-Card for 1 year in my passport). Does that mean my "plastic"LPR-Card arrives soon ?Because the letter also says that i should hear from the USCIS in the next 30 days.
Sorry for my lame english (I am german).

Answer:
Yes, you should receive your plastic card soon. I say soon because there is no definite date with USCIS. :)
Since the stamp in the passport is good for a year you are fine. However, if you don't receive it in like 2 month, i would give them a call, so there is plenty of time to clear if something is messed up in their system before your I-551 expires.
Yes, it should come soon. I was in a similar situation a few weeks ago, and my card came about three weeks after the 'Welcome Letter'.

And wait until you see the 'Green Card' - it's pretty fancy!
I agree with the other poster - they don't guarantee dates, and posting screw ups could still occur, but I think it is unlikely.
