How cheap is cheap imported labor and why we have it?
Juan is a illegal worker, he worked at meat maker slaugterhouse. He split pigs in half with a chain saw while hung from a ceiling on a rope. Juan has three kids and a wife. His wife stays home and all his kids go to school. The company managment has to report to the corp office every quarter how much its operations cost on the floor.
John, is a manufacturer of the splitting 2000 machine. The splitting 2000 is made in America and can split pigs way faster then juan. Problem is Juan costs 30 bucks a day and the splitting 2000 costs 70 grand. The splitting 2000 has no kids, needs no health insurance and dosent birth children in state hospitals or send 3 kids to state school that costs $25000 dollars and $27000 dollars a year in child care and education.
But Meat Maker Corp. dosent pay for that stuff. So today juan hangs from the ceiling by a rope splitting pigs in half with a chainsaw like the middle ages and Johns splitter 2000 sits in his garage
Answer:
What a crock of LIES! Obviously, you have no idea what a modern slaughter house is like. First off, the pigs hang from chains on a conveyor system; secondly, air-powered knives are used to split the carcass and thirdly, I bet there isn't even a Meat Maker Corp.
One more thing to consider . . . if Undocs only make up 5% of the work force, I bet that 95% of the workers at the slaughter houses are Americans with wives and families to support - don't throw out the baby with the bath water.
I used to know an American born Indian and he runs a commuter net working company, he has few illegal workers from India, which he promised he'll sponsor their green card after a couple of years. He also take about 25% of their salary in his own pocket, he should be pretty rich by now.
So what you are saying is its the middle class Americans who pay Juans family while Juan is a slave for them??? HALF TRUTH: Illegal aliens are better off in the U.S. doing lousy menial jobs than they are in their own country.
TRUTH: That may be true for the Illegal aliens in the short run (and businesses that hire them), but for many "undocumented immigrants" (Mexicans make up the majority), the "American legacy of exploitation of immigrants" remains in the minds of their children for many generations to come creating resentment of America and hinders assimilation of even their American born offspring. Resentment of America has created anti-American organizations such as MECHA whose nationwide college and high school members must pledge their support to forcefully take back what they call "Aztlan," the U.S. Southwest ceded in 1846 to the U.S. in the Mexican War.
No one would enjoy splitting pigs with a chainsaw, but if thats what Juan has to do to survive and live a better life than he had before, thats what he'll do. Make Juan legal and you can use your pig splitting 2000 machine. Juan will have a much better job somwhere else with the respect he deserves for the struggle he and his family went through as second class "non" citizens who were taken advantage of by the greedy american machine. Here in the lower parts of the U.S. "Juan" is a more popular name than your own. P.S. Johns' splitter 2000 is probably way overpriced and could be made better and cheaper in Mexico or China.

Cheap Labor you say. Isn't that what the whole immigration issue is about? Business doesn't want to pay a decent wage. Consumers don't want expensive produce. Our goverment will tell you Americans don't want certain jobs, but the bottom line is cheap labor. The phrase "cheap Labor" is a myth, a farce, a lie... an oxymoron. There is no such thing as "cheap Labor" Take, for example, an illegal alien with a wife & five children. He takes a job for $5.00 or $6.00 / hour. At that wage, with six dependants, he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year, IF an income tax return, he gets an "earned income credit" of up to $3200 free. He qualifies for section 8 housing & subsidized rent. He qualifies for food stamps. he qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pa) health care. His children get free breakfast & lunches at school. He requires bilingual teachers & books. He qualifies for relief from high energy bills. If they become, aged blind or disabled, they qualify for SSI. Once qualified for SSI they can qualifyfor Medicare. All of this is at taxpayers expense. he doesn't worry about car insurance, life insurance or homeowners insurance. Tax payers provide Spanish language signs. He & his family receive the equivalent of $20.00 to $30.00 / hours in benefits. Workinf Americansare lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00 an hour left after paying their bills & his. The American taxpayers also pay for increasedcrime, graffiti& trash clean up. Cheap labor? Yeah Right wake up
Let's us get rid of income tax & property tax and all fees, permits etc and get a national sales tax. We know regardless of how people work the system everyone does buy something
