That's what I'm hoping for. Then the senators can back out gracefully and still get support for their campaigns from big business. Such a cowardly thing to do!

I don't know,it's really been back and forth with this bill but I certainly hope it gets shot down.
a) It's not amnesty. Are you going to believe the talk show prevaricators?
b) It will pass this time around, because a majority of the country wants for the undocumented to have some kind of path to citizenship.
Even if you are right, we can't take that chance. Do everything you can to kill this bill.
PS Buy a dictionary and look up the word "amnesty". STOP saying "it's not amnesty".

It's hard to say. I hope it doesn't pass. If it does, this country is doomed. I also have to laugh at the people who keep insisting that this isn't amnesty because even President Bush slipped up this morning and admitted that it IS amnesty!!
