Canada Immigration?
Suppose I'm qualified for canada work visa (skilled worker), should I use a consulting firm, or can I just check my points for qualification and apply on my own?
Sorry if I sound dumb, but is it that easy to go through the canada visa process? I once tried to get US visa which procedure was so complicated, and it seems almost everyone w/ bachelor's degree can move in and work in canada. Is it true??
Thanks,
Answer:
To get a working visa in Canada you need to have a company sponser you. It's not easy!
The company has to prove that there are no Canadians qualified to do the job before they can sponser someone from outside Canada.
It's alot of paperwork for the company but not for you.
Depends on if the industry you want work in recognizes your degree.
My boss is from Pakistan and a lot of his friends who moved to Canada have had to move back to Asia or accept jobs as taxi drivers or hospital orderlies.
Some of them are Doctors, Engineers, RNs.
