Immigration question: I just received a I-797 last week, will I have to pay the original price for the?
Answer:
The I-797 is a NOTICE OF ACTION. I would file asap if you're able to on any remanding forms. I guess it depends on what step you're in. If I remember correctly you are doing a fiance petition. Right?
If he is out of the country then next step is consular processing. The Department of State has not changed their fees only USCIS. Once you marry him and start the "green card" process you will be paying the new immigration fees.
file as soon as possible before the end of July and you will not pay an increased fee.
sign those form, send them right away.it's going up 25-200 it depends which state you are in.
I heard in the news that as long as the postal postage indicate a prior date that July 31, you don't have to pay the new irrational and senceless rates.
i think that it all applies to the dates that you will file each form...as someone else said...try to file as soon as possible...but, based on how it all moves...and this is how long it took for them to send this one form to you..
How about the visa from here to there... i heard it costs 200$ now, can you believe it? Just for the right to being interviewed. That sucks.
