I think it's going to come down to cites and states are going to have to make their own laws towards this, the feds simply will not enforce the law,it's really up to each state to do the jobs the feds will not do

What an injustice. I think members of Congress have contacted the President to pardon these agents.

I am always amazed when people use legalization as the answer to illegal immigration. Well ok then the answer to my high taxes is that I don't have to pay it... Think it will work? doubt it

Face it, neither side wants enforcement. ICE does the best they can with what they are given and they are stopping WAY more people than they did any previous time in our history. They are also raiding places and doing some very active things. It is hard work when both sides are for your failure.

Fix it, we voted you in to FIX IT. Get it done. No Amnesty. You knew this was a problem and could have solved a decade ago but didn't. Quit the whining and get to work.

We should give credit to the Sheriff Departments across the country for enforcing current Laws..
This agency has seen the governments failure to enforce exististing Law, and have been doing a pretty good job despite all the shouting special interest groups have been doing.
If only the Federal Authorities would follow their example....
If the government is unable to enforce the laws it passed, then it should repeal all those laws. If the government can't do its job -- and it says it can't -- then we should withhold the salaries and wages of all government employees who are failing to do their jobs. We, the people, should have a right to evaluate our employees (and government workers and elected officials are our employees) and we should be able to fire them and replace them when they fail to do their job. Personally, I give the Department of Justice, Homeland Security, President Bush, The entire Legislature and the ICE and the INS all failing marks and I'd like to start to withhold their salaries until they start producing what they are paid to produce. We citizens have to stop accepting this failure and start demanding action. If they can't or won't do their jobs, then we need to demand their resignations and we need to prosecute them and withhold their salaries.
Realistically, the problem became huge due to lack of funding. With 12,000,000 illegals each of 5000 enforcement officers would have to arrest 2,400. It takes time to build up the appropriate force. Funding is increasing and must be pressed by the electorate..
However, if the states kick in and help with enforcement, a lot more can be done much sooner. I expect that as soon as the heat gets turned up, many of the 12,000,000 will go home on their own.
Strong boarder control is a necessity for the future. We might as well start now. World populations are growing to the point that we will be over-run if we don't.
i see it done. On the front page of a newspaper was a bunch getting sent back. Written as if its some travesty that being sent back home after breaking the law is wrong. I dont understand how illegals know they are here illegally and getting shipped back is not the right thing to happen.
I would love for them to enforce the regular laws. I feel discriminated against for being a regular citizen here when I have to have all these ID's and forms in order to get a job, get a home, or a car, etc. Then illegals can get by without doing anything and then complain about it.
Also, I feel sorry for the people who are here waiting patiently for their citizenship and reapplying, and reapplying, then getting denied. Plus, there are people who are citizens here trying to get a family member here and are constantly denied by doing things the right way. Then illegals are walking around doing as they please and did not have to do it the right way.
Immigration. People crossing our north and south borders is just the tip of the iceberg on this issue.
We have laws, good laws; they have never been enforced and will not be until we continue to force the issue, the same way we did the morning we broke down the senate phone system on the final cloture vote on the most unbelievable bill the elitists were trying to pass, Immigration Bill of 2007. If any of you watched the senate floor on C-SPAN during this debate you know what I mean. I mean they were in session and debating this bill and the Democratic side was making changes to the bill, without copies to the Congress or members, refusing to let the senators read the changes and pushing for a vote! That is like signing mortgage papers without reading it first. And ticked off because the Senators raised hell! If it wasn't so serious, it would be hilarious as it really played out like a soap opera; unbelievable!
Why doesn't Bush and the past 4 - 5 presidents enforce our laws and close our borders? A well kept secret until the past year and it came to light on Humaneventsonline.com and Lou Dobbs. It's called the North American Union. This is not internet gossip or just a fabrication. Bush has signed an agreement in 2005 to have open borders by 2008 and our 3 sovereign countries; Mexico, Canada and the USA, are to become one with one law, one court, etc, and our Constitution will be no more. Our supreme courts will no longer have jurisdiction. Bush passing the Immigration Bill was imperative to this movement. Legalize all Mexicans, Canadians, Latin Americans, as promised to the Mexican and Canadian presidents. Our borders would be wide open with citizens of all 3 countries allowed to travel freely, (no more border crossings or Border agents), to work and live ANYWHERE they want.
This was all done without the American people or Congress approval. Of course not, they knew we would never go for it. When all the illegals all over the country marched in our streets by the millions, it opened the eyes of Americans and we began to learn what was really going on. These things have been hidden from the American people and not, not, not covered by newspapers or mainstream news; our local stations. Why do you think the politicians are so angry with blogs and radio personalities? They are trying to bring back an old bill that will take away the voices of radio; too many Americans learned of their treacherous actions and what was truly happening in Congress. The internet, Lou Dobbs AND radio has been instrumental in bringing this to the American people. (many others too numerous to mention)
Yes, when they marched in our streets DEMANDING their rights and to be legalized immediately without any consequences awaken the sleeping giants, the American people. It backfired in their faces and started us on the road to re-take our country and fight for our very own rights and way of life. Government has stomped all over the Constitution and are all guilty of not upholding their sworn oaths to protect the Constitution, the American people, and our way of life. Every single politician who has voted for the illegals locally and federally NEEDS TO BE VOTED OUT. PERIOD. (go to congress.org and see how your local politicians have voted on bills in the past, and yes, go to http://grades.betterimmigration.com/... and you can pull up every bill they voted on; then they cannot deny it when you have a copy in your hand! They are guilty of breaking federal laws; every governor, senator, representative and city council person for not enforcing laws of the United States. We need to show them we mean business; we are keeping our country.
I can go on and on but please listen and keep these 2 things in mind;
1, Vote out these politicians all the way up to the White House and do not vote for anyone that will not enforce our laws, no matter how they double talk and put their own spin on things. If they are not for closing the borders, severely punishing illegal EMPLOYERS and strictly enforcing ALL our immigration laws IMMIDEATELY, they will get in office and carry on what Bush has tried and failed to do.
2. Read about the North American Union (enter into your search engine); do not believe what a politician says, believe your own research. Fight for our way of living! Fight your local government. If we don't, the illegals win. That simple.
