Is amnesty for illegals a done deal now?

How can our leaders do this to us?

Answer:
No, Brandon, the vote today was just the first of the cloture votes which only serve to limit the amount of debate that can be had regarding the immigration bill. There will be another cloture vote one week from today. From there, it will go to the floor for a vote on the actual bill. If it should get enough votes to pass, the bill will then be sent to the House of Representatives who will also vote on it. (The House of Representatives are currently 83/28 AGAINST the immigration bill! YAY!!) If the House doesn't approve it, and they won't, then the bill cannot pass in its current form.

It's IMPERATIVE that we contact our Senators to pressure them into voting NO on the next cloture, NO on the immigration bill itself.

Once they ignore We, the People again, it will be time for us to vote NO to the incumbents come next election.
I think the fix is in, and we are the big losers
They don't care about the public. They have ignored us and all reason.
I don't know, but if it is it won't be a peaceful one. But that is part of the plan too. They want us to fight so that they can declare martial law and bring in the North American Union. It's really going to come down to who our representatives fear and respect the most--the citizens or the elite.
No, the Senate has to take a final vote.
It's not amnesty but I pretty much think if they were gonna kill it they wouldn't have brought it back
No, today was a 'test vote'. They still have a final vote, and supposedly other steps after that. Contact your senator and inform everyone you know about what happened today.
write and or call, and or email, your reps in congress. Let them know how you feel, thats the only avenue you have now. let them know you will be watching, and that you will be voting.

I have contacted my reps already, if you dont know who they are check your states web page, I'm sure they are listed there.
not a done deal. This is just the step before they debate the amendments. Even if, heaven forbid, that it passes the Senate, the House is a totally different matter!
not yet but they are doing an awesome job trying to pass it
No, it is not a done deal. It's up for debate and could be killed at any moment! Our leaders have got big business on their minds not the people so don't stop jogging their memories, ok? They still want political clout and they'll be denied it when election time comes around. It's imprortant they be reminded of that!
It's not over yet and those leaders will eventually have to answer for their actions.
No it isn't a done deal. Call and write to your Senator. But don't neglect the House, just in case. They are dancing up and down hardly able to wait to get their hands on this. According to the press, the House GOP Convention is meeting tonight and is expected to pass a resolution that the House GOP Convention opposes the Senate Bill. I keep checking the news to find it, but most press trigger deadlines have passed on the East Coast now.
call your senator go to theorator.com for the link!
It won't pass the House. Senators are just trying to look like they are doing something. This was when it doesn't pass, they can blame it on the House.
If you studied history, you would know that amnesty is the ONLY thing that ever happens. I have lived long enought to have seen 2 other situations like this - and it always ends the same way.

The government knows that their Best Friends big business need that cheap labor force and aren't about to stop the flow.

It has been a done deal since day 1.
I am American, I think they are heading down the right direction.
