Only if Arizona enforces the laws. We have tough laws in this country regarding illegal immigration but the problem is no one enforces them..
I particularly liked the response of the business leaders: "we feel like [this law] puts this unfair burden on the backs of businesses in this state to solve a national problem."
.. They prefer the burden be on the back of the taxpayers.

They hear the message. They heard it before. But they don't care. They have a business to run, and if it causes the taxpayers problems, then that's not their concern. If you want to get businesses to stop hiring illegals, we're going to have to make tough laws against it.
No, I do not feel they are getting the message in most states--I live in the midwest and I see hundreds of Spanish speaking people living and working here and I have been told by a lot of business owners that they love to hire them and do not care if they are paying their taxes or not, or using government services, in fact they encourage it. They say the Federal government won't let them check on social security numbers anyway, as it is a invasion of privacy. The rich like hiring them as they are cheap labor and they just hate paying out the labor cost Americans charge. But, as I have seen with the rich in my job, they do not mind paying out the big bucks for designer clothes and shoes and such but they do not want to pay anything for labor. My spouse and I both have been affected in our jobs because of the influx of illegals doing it much cheaper. It is ruining the middle class of Americans in this country. Between shipping jobs to other countries for cheap labor and hiring illegals we are going to see the middle class disappear in this country.
Hope so, then we can stop paying for their money saved on labor from hiring the illegals.
No I don't, because the small fines they pay is just the cost of doing business to them. They won't get the message until the penalty is increased.
