If I got my application for AOS/Green card into USCIS before July 2 will I be OK or will I wait until October? I have already recieved my Advance Parole and had my fingerprints done. Are green card numbers assigned when USCIS send their receipt to you - or at the end of the process. Will I need to wait until the new batch of Green Cards numbers become available in October?
Answer:
If you have your advance parole then you already have you A number which is an alien number and is used for your green card. Do not wait for the Green Card to come. sometimes it takes more than a year. File for your Employment Authorization and wait peacefully for your Green Card
