I agree. My uncle is waiting to come to this country legally and reunite with my aunt after 10 years. My dad suggested that maybe we should just bring him here illegally because then he will get citizenship faster. And his wife works in this country and is not feeding off the system. She pays taxes and our family is rather well-to-do. We can take care of our uncle and won't use and abuse the system like the illegals.
Higher Taxes for legal American taxpayers.
I just wish fearless leaders were as concerned about our welfare as they are about the care and feeding of the illegals that broke our laws

Granting amnesty merely recognizes reality. Let's do it...but secure the border first.

You are so right! I really feel sorry for the honest people who have been trying to immigrate here legally and who want to be American citizens. I guess it's true, nice guys finish last. I just can't get why they won't enforce the laws we have? How do they think they're going to collect fines or send heads of the household home when most of them don't want citizenship in the first place. I just pray that the borders get sealed and prevent any more of this from happening, yea I know, my Mom is the Tooth Fairy and Dad's Santa!

Since illegal workers are more fearful of being caught, it has been easy for employers and others to offer them lower wages and working conditions. The employers probably know that illegal workers are unlikely to complain. If these illegal workers become legal, general wages and working conditions would start to rise. The legal citizen workers wouldn't find themselves being undercut by the artificially low wages currently offered to the illegal workers.
Also, those employers who are unwilling to hire illegals, but still need more workers, would have more legal applicants.
Mexicans in this country who are too lazy (or stupid) to learn English, who will use the system, multiply like cockroaches and continue to have babies they can't support, deal their drugs, and will lower the value of any neighborhood with their filthy way of living.
I don't care who wants to call me racist. I wasn't born with these feelings - I have them as a result of living around these people. As far as I'm concerned, they're worthless.
