How long do I need to be a Green card holder until I can get my US citizenship?

I have been married for over 3 years but the time on my conditional green card will expire March 08. In december '07 I can renew it and get the other green card, but I was wondering when can I get my citizenship? Do i have to wait 3 years? or is 2 enough? thanks.

Answer:
You don't renew your conditional card you petition to remove the conditions and become a permanent resident. Once you become a permanent resident you wait 3 years and apply for citizenship.
Total of 5 years.
You have to have a green card for 3 years before applying for citizenship.
Yes, it's five years after you received your conditional green card. Here are the basic requirements:

after having your Green Card for 3 years of marriage you can apply for Citizenship!!!
I think you have to wait 5 years unless you are married to a US citizen then you can apply in 3 years.
