When the Amnesty bill gets shot down again will the Senate finally give up and do what the people want?
Answer:
You dont reward people that break the law, and...what about the people that wait for a visa the leagl way? we penalize them and reward criminals? thats stupid...so deport all illegals. period.
The only reason there is any laws considered is that business that pays low wages wants to keep the illegal workers so they can keep high windfall profits..if these companies with special interest paid a decent wage, there would be plenty of Americans to take that work.
Force these people out of business, let the government auction off the properties where greedy selfish landowners hire illegals.
We can only pray that they do...
That might be true, yet I am 100% sure it will pass. Too bad.
Yeah sure, and the Easter bunny is coming to see you this Easter lol..
Keep dreamin.
Squatters? Many were already here before your ancestors ever christen this ground.
They'll keep trying as long as they think they might be able to get people to either not notice or to buy the line that they're really going to enforce border security this time and that "a path to citizenship" isn't amnesty.
Nope. They'll try to figure out another way to screw us.
Remember: most are not up for re-election this year, so they don't have to "do what the people want." They work for whomever pays the most.
Rather cynical, I admit, but I can think of no other explanation for this fiasco.
WOWWWW.I was shocked when I heard what this bill proposed!!
I emailed my two state senators and the White House to let them know that I am very much against this ridiculous bill!!
We can only hope that Washington will come to their senses.
(Is that too much to hope for?!?)
We will have to march on Washinton before these thick skulled poloticians realize we don't want amnesty for illegals. And yeah that is too much to ask for.
What causes such contempt for other people.
When people want to come to our country because of the freedoms we enjoy, how can people be so creul and cold to want to treat others like they are beneath us because they happened to be born in a different country.
Life liberty and the pursuit of happiness are the foundation of this country...for every man, woman and child.
And we should really try to love our brothers and sisters like we love ourselves, and that means we show them the same courtesy we would want shown us if we wanted to help our familys with a better life.
So what lesson did your mommy and daddy not teach you, death guy.
Sound like alittle loner kid dressed in black that hates the world.!
One day you might grow up
The more you expect from the Senate
the more you will be disappointed.
The only way to be 100% satisfied is if you expect nothing at all.
I think the bill should start in the House, as expenditure bills are supposed to do under the Constitution - using House drafted boilerplate.
The stuff the press never reports is at least as bad as the stuff they do.
Probably not. When you have Senators on both sides calling people stupid and bigots for disagreeing with their piece of garbage bill, you're not likely to see any kind of recognition of their bungling.
I have prayed that it will pass. Looks to me like it is headed in that direction. Thank God
I would rather see strong laws for employers knowingly hiring illegals. Corporate American is responsible for giving these people the motivation for coming here in the first place. Shame on these American employers that put us in the position to tell these nice people they have to go home even though they were just trying to better themselves. They might of came over illegally but they have the morals to help better their family so I am less likely to blame the victim.
I don't believe it will be shot down. I believe the poor turn out at the so called "march" sent a message that in reality a very small percentage of voters are against it.
They better do what the people want or they will lose tons of votes
Most of the Senators know that the majority of Americans are against this bill and the polls show it. However, they don't care as they are bowing down to their high dollar donors. the senate will pass this shamesty bill and the house will slam it down as they have done in the past. thank God for the house reps that are listening to the majority
We must speak as many times as it takes. However, I am now convinced our best hopes lie in the House. Their bill makes more sense. If the Senate proceeds, the House will deny Bush his "see ya on signing day".
I don't see how. It hasn't stopped Ted (the drunk) Kennedy so far. He'll still be pushing for it even if they start an open season on all illegals.
The good thing is, there have been three more senators whom have switched sides on this matter and are now voting against the bill. Thank God for small miracles.
