What is the real reason illegal immigration hasn't been dealt with?
They are illegal and have broken the law. They should be deported and most people agree on that.
Many of the illegal immigrants are also criminals and are filling our jails, costing tax dollars. Yet the government doesn't take action. What are they waiting for? I want to see all of the illegals deported, which isn't a hard thing like most people think because the government or the media tells them it is not possible, I want no illegals in our prisons, I want a guest worker program like Canada, where we ship them back to Mexico, and I want a border wall, or no mans land. Why isn't this taking place? Who is stopping this? WHY? Most people want this to change.

The fact is, illegal immigrants no longer just "pick plants." They work at fast food restaurants and regular restaurants, they work in construction, they work in factories, they work as nannies and house cleaners, chambermaids, etc. In fact, I believe very few of them really work "picking plants" nowadays because, as you say, there are machines to do a lot of the picking of plants. And, the reason this problem is not dealt with is because the employers of illegals in such as the above-listed occupations are able to pay them far, far less money than they would have to pay legal citizens. Many of these employers are huge corporations such as hotel and motel chains, Swift meats, for instance, large construction companies, etc. These huge corporations (including Home Depot and Walmart, as well) can afford to line the pockets of our government representatives to try to push through the ridiculous "amnesty" bill and/or ignore the issue altogether because it all means money in the pockets of these corporation honchos. Savings of hiring these illegal immigrants for peanuts are NOT passed onto the citizens by way of lower prices - not at all! Savings go directly into the pockets of the CEOs. Meanwhile, they get away with paying slave wages to the illegal immigrants who have babies here who then are considered "legal" US citizens and because of whom the whole family can then have access to all of our social freebies, including welfare, subsidized housing, medical coverage, etc., based on their low family incomes. While here, the illegal immigrants access free medical and free education, all paid for by the US citizens and not paid for by themselves. Hospitals are going under and our education standards are lowered due to overcrowding of schools and extra attention being given to the nonEnglish speaking students.
Yes, you are right. The criminal illegal immigrants come here with little or no education and many resort to further criminal acts after the first criminal act of crossing our border illegally. Yes, our tax dollars then pay for their incarcerations.
Our government reps believe that these illegal immigrants are future voters for them, as well as the corporations who pay them off to support these people being here.
I live in Canada and I know what you mean. Yes, Canada does have more of a handle on this problem, for now. However, that is in no small part due to the fact that Canada doesn't have the southern border that the US has. I travel to Washington frequently and I am amazed at the huge number of Hispanics there - they have come far north in astounding numbers, and I predict it is just a matter of time before they will be coming on up into Canada in the same way they are now in the US. I believe Canada will soon have the very same problem with Mexican and Central American illegal immigrants that the US is presently dealing with.
I also believe that Canada is watching closely what is happening in the US and may be tightening up border security for that very reason. Time will tell.

because it's a hard issue to deal with .. its not easy tracking down every single person .. plus it will cost more to deport than tax dollars spent on them .. when we are done with the war .. we should take a look at it!
The more people using a currency, the more it's worth and the more inflation can be controlled. If you have a dodgy currency..open your boarders and watch the value of it stabalise.
Because there's nothing to deal with about. Illegal immigration has been a very profitable business for the USA for over fifty years. It has been a very successful platform for politicians in election years, and a "scape goat" as well as a veil to put over all the problems caused by the negligent, incompetent, imbecile "monkey" that runs this country.
They have tried to do this twice before, but politicians never follow through with what they promise they are going to do.
In 1986 Ronald Reagan gave Amnesty to 2.7 million illegal immigrants and fined companies that employed illegal immigrants. Then in 1996 Bill Clinton said he was going to "secure our boarders" and he increase boarder guards, installed sensors and built a fence (the fence ended up only being 40 miles long). Both of these acts did nothing sense there are now 12 million illegal immigrants. Now they are saying they are going to do the same things that they did in 1986 and 1996 which did not stop illegal immigration.
You have totally said and feel like the majority of the American feel. We already have laws, but all branches of Law Enforcement are not allowed to use the laws, if they were allowed to do it, we would not be having this problem right now. thank good I.C.E. has made a small dent in regards to picking them up. That is why we need to vote out every single person who has voted to pass this amnesty bill. And by the way, we do have machines to pick plants, fruit, cotton and tons of other things, the demand is not as high for these type workers as the media and politicians claims. I do not want any kind of a guest worker program, I want them sent back and never return. If all welfare and free benefits were cut off, that would be a big start to getting rid of them. I think the Mexican Government needs to take care of them, not the US. Illegals are Criminals.

You don't think that since the majority of illegals were let into the country after the war began and after they sent our boys overseas, that the two may be connected? It seems logical to me, the powers that be have been planning this war for awhile. How do you replace all the money those boys don't get to spend in America while they are over seas, let 12 million low wage illegal immigrants in that's how. It makes perfect sense.
I believe the government is not telling us everything and not telling us the wanted outcome. I think deals have been made with both countries and that when it all comes out in the open, disaster is going to occur.

You ask a good question but obviously have not had time to research anyhting yet. I recommend you read Orwell's book "1984". Read it carefully and then look at the world around you and see if it you what is happening.
Our government has been on a march toward a New World Order since the early teens when the Federal reserve came into being. Here again, read the book "The Creature From Jekyll Island" and see what I am talking about.
The government cant get rid of the illegal immigration problem. If it did it would have no basis for open the corridor between Mexico and Canada. If it did not have that basis there would be no way to create the norh american union.
It doesnt have anything to do with the corporation - it all has to do with the new world order and control of everything. the old adage of "own noting but control everything" is very much at work here. Our current government has made very big advances toward tis new world order.

Once the corridor is set up the immigration problem goes away and nobody will say anything any more. they will be abel to travel in this country as freely as we do..so will the Cadanians. The days are coming and our complacent citizens are the ones letting it happen.

Mexican-americans have sympathy for illegals, and are a voting bloc in favor of the status quo.
Cost of enforcing immigration is a barrier.
Apathy on the part of most american's who foolishly don't realize that you can always allow more legal immigrants if you are looking for cheap labor, you don't need to encourage illegal immigration.
Americans need to realize that illegal immigration is a problem, and realize that illegal immigration is bad for everyone (including potential mexican immigrants who would prefer a legal path to immigration).
Also - we need to fix the source of the problem - poverty in Mexico. This requires political will - and America is too distracted by Iraq, problems in its own borders, and so on. So I'm not optimistic.

Most Americans "think" somebody else will solve this problem. They are too busy working or watching TV.
Most are just plain lazy. Many of the rest won't risk pissing someone off by writing a email, or calling.
But a very large percentage are just plain stupid.

Canada and US have to pay for Mexico.(meeting is August 18 in Canada) The Texas Governor just signed the law for a 4 football size beginning to the new highway. Bush is allowing Mexican trucks to start rolling into US.(No driver checks or safety checks) Be careful if your Legislators want to SELL your state highway. That's also why they want to silence talk radio. They want us uninformed.Think of HOW Texas is getting all this property (can anyone say eminent domain)
