Ya....he kind of left that part out.....and since they didn't enforce any laws before to protect us from this happening again......there's no way I'm beleiving it would be any different this time. It's going to be the same issues all over again because they aren't dealing with the problem.

Guest Worker Will be as effective as Amnesty. What attracts illegal aliens to employers is the money they save not paying insurance, taxes, or benifits for them. Guest Workers will be fired in favor of more illegals, same with amnesty.
That's exactly why this immigration reform is a sham. There won't be any enforcement mechanisms. If someone wants to overstay their visa, they just disappear into our society when it's time to go home. Just another illegal alien.
half the illegals here now entered legally and never left. it is more of the same,just protects companies from being punished.

Its purely an ignorant idea. I mean for one, the minute you let one in on this "guest worker" thing. Who's to say that they wont bring others with them. See, the thing is, they breed. Then they have children born in the US, and that makes them citizens. It's a clever plan that they have. I mean I don't understand why they don't enforce the law. Illegal does mean against the law doesn't it? I they arrest me when I decide to get drunk and act an *** at the bar. Or maybe I should petition for a guest drunk pass and get away with it. Maybe I should have my favorite bar sponsor me. This whole immigrant worker thing makes just about as much sense. Anyways, it just proves that this is such a major problem that the president is over looking the fact that they are criminals and in fact illegal, in order to keep our economy running on these cheap workers.

There were scores of illegal immigrants coming in from Europe at that time but nobody seemed to mind. How about we send them back to Europe on a submarine with a sunroof.........
If a guest worker program is established illegal immigration will be decreased maybe even close to a halt. Overstays will be deported, of course, it's not for a better life since they would have their chance and if they don't take advantage of it then it's THEIR problem. The opportunity was there.
There are many issues regarding these people.They have allowed themselves to be exploited for so long they think they belong here.Many it has been suggested have unchecked illnesses such as TB.Supposedly they have become infected from being smuggled in trucks or other similar modes of transportation.Many of these immigrant farm workers are forced to work in conditions in the fields without the use of toilet facilities. Yet the farmers who exploit them complain about losing their cheap labor.I think the whole thing stinks of corruption from top to bottom. These are not guest workers they're guest slaves who are now planning a revolution against our economy.Many Blacks and others have been displaced by these cheaper labor tactics of corrupt business practices and are most likely lobbying politicians who only sympathize with their greedy hands out. I also despise businesses who have allowed these people to take over their businesses and then play their own music in the background. This would be acceptable if it were an ethnic restaurant and not an IHOP. Does this make me a racist or a realist? Talk about your occupations. Yeeeeeesh.

They will come in, work, make the money they need, and go home. Not everyone who comes to the USA wants to stay here.
That being said, for those who overstay their time, they will just apply for an extension and possibly get one.
