Americans don't fear Muslims, they fear what Muslims are capable of doing. Our nation was not viciously attacked by Christian/Buddhist/Jewish extremists, they were Muslim extremists. Our news media tells us daily of Muslim insurgents and militiamen fighting and killing one another; others who believe in nearly the same religion, all because of small differences. We as Americans see suicide bomber attacks, mass executions, people dragged from their homes, gunfire, explosions, and death, all done in the name of Allah, and thus, it is morally correct.
That is why some Americans fear Muslims.

i don't think that the americans or any other religion or countries fear the muslims its the fundamentalist of their religions that really is the problem not so much of giving people fear but that of disdains for the way they do things of killings civilians and waste life just like nothing just for the sake of calling attentions to certain ideas or any other opinions they want other people to listen to or be heard, such stupidity and ignorance, no respect on life which most people hold so dear. why? why? can we not have another venue to discuss things except to kill people, destroy property and instill terror. what kind of mentality is that??

We (Americans) should have absoultly nothing against Muslims; we really should open our eyes to how the media is draining our free will and original thinking from us. I personally have nothing against Muslims, you are good people, you aren't normally violent, the Sharia is an excellent example of model human behavior, quiet frankly I think the entire reason so many Americans are so fearful, is because of 9/11.
We really should get over the fact that not everyone is alike so we shouldn't judge a person by their race, religion or sexuality.

most american muslims thrive and do well in the usa. not so in other nations. we fear jerk sucide killers who say convert but yet kill thier own mulsims. there are millions of muslims in the usa. we have no problem with them living in the laws and being good people. many donate to community things. not to terrorist orgs.
for me, an American, i do not hate Muslims in general. there are some.....alot within your religion that believes America is the enemy. if you have not been watching the news, even in Britain, where the radicals are calling to take over Britain. they hate the thought of freedom. just because it is not there way does not mean that it is wrong. My room mate happens to be Muslim, and even he does not agree with the radicals calling for war against America. But if you believe in a higher power, i would like to think that your God would condemn killing rather than encourage it.
