Why can't we put it to a vote...right now...deport or amnesty?

Our elected officials are the only one with a "vote" that counts now...
That's why it's up to us AMERICAN CITIZENS to put pressure on them to NOT grant amnesty or citizenship to criminals.
It should be a cold day in hell before an illegal alien criminal is granted citizenship or amnesty AHEAD of a legal immigrant attempting to come to this country.

coz its not as simple as that, and the thick people out there will think it just comes down to the fact that they where not born here.
do we just send people back to poverty back to hell, with out a care, i don't want to live in a world that just judges people on there skin tone and how much money they have to there name. we was lucky we was born here it was just a twist of fate, we got lucky they never.

As for these people, like the one several answers down that talk about their "Stolen land"
1) All lands belonged to someone else prior to who they belong to now with maybe a few exceptions. Sometimes the lands have changed hands many times over the course of history, but more importantly
2) If we actually did leave "your land" and I for one would take down as much infrastructure as possible(would definitely burn my house down before someone else took it under the circumstances you are dreaming of) if that happened, what makes you think that this flourishing nation/land would not become another/more corrupt, poor, land/government that you are all trying to run from anyway. Isn't what you really want the "life" that the citizens of the US have created for themselves?
