Outside of the rhetoic this is probably the best outcome we can get. People automatically persume it is amnesty just because the are not being sent back. In a way it is but we only have ourselves to blame for not addressing this situation earlier. 12 million or more people is too much of an undertaking to deport and would endup not being worth it. This works in two ways because it allocates more funding for border security and more personnel. Something a lot of people have forgot to mention. Also this is just a path but not a guarentee for citizenship. People have to go through a series of non immigrant visas before they can obtain an immigrant visa. Also the wait time is at least double if not triple the time compared to someone who waited their turn to obtain citizenship. One of the things it is being hawkish on is people who commit crimes on this it is one felony and you are out 3 speeding tickets and you are out. For a legal it can be 5 years to obtain citizenship for an illegal they would have to wait atleast 8 and possibly up to 15 years depending on your case to apply and also something people do not mention is even if you are granted a non immigrant visa their is no guarantee that they will obtain a green card if they do not follow the rules. There are probably somethings that should be worked on but this is probably the best solution we can have to fix the mess. We have to work on sealing the border off to more illegals and try to deal with what we have here.

My personal view, IT SUCKS
Take the criminals that came into this country and their
punishment is the right to stay. 28% of our prison population

Anyways, well its good in a way cause all those illegals are now going to start paying taxes, which by the way I heard(not sure) that illegals working with fake papers actually do get money taken off their check for taxes and is never return to them cause they cant ask for it and so the government uses it for whatever purpose.
But to those that work for cash only, those will start paying their taxes, this is just one good thing, but at the same time even after the bill goes thru, there will still be tons more of illegals coming, so I don't think a bill so much help, I think US should help those poor countries like Mexico, Uruguay, etc. So they wont come here anymore, just like they are helping in Irak.
