Is it difficult to obtain a job in the UK if you will become a permanent resident?

I am an American citizen, soon to marry a British citizen. I wanted to know if the rule of jobs going to UK and EU citizens first applies to permanent residents. If I am a permanent resident of the UK, will it be easier to find a job or does it not matter?

Answer:
If you're a LEGAL resident of the UK or of any other EU country you will have the same chances as a citizen if you have the right set of skills for the job market.
If you become a permanent resident in the UK, a job for you would never be tough. But the quality of the jobs would depend on your releted job quality and experience.
If you marry a British citizen you will have British citizenship yourself, correct? Or are you thinking of the interim beforehand?

I will be looking for a job in advertising.
As long as you have a National Insurance Number, you can apply for any job.

(Some companies aren't even that picky, go for it anyway, I would)

Good Luck
