This is a free country, do what ever you want. I grew up in a home with litle heat and no air conditioning, with summer temps averaging 95 or more most days. So I grew up sleeping outside. You can do it yourself. I prefer now to use an A/C, remember the bugs crawling on me, no wind at night and a temp at 10:00 at night of 90. Not really that good.
I hear New Orleans is a lot like that now.
