I am calling my wife on a K-3 visa from India. Can she apply for driver's license in California?

I have pending I-130 form for my wife in India. I am planning to file for I-129F (Petition for alien wife) on a K-3 visa. I was trying to find info but can someone tell me if she would be able to apply for driver's license in California. Would she need social security card? and if she does need social security card then can she apply for that? Please let me know. Thank you very much.

Answer:
The K-3 will be valid for 2 years and she will be able to travel in and out of the U.S. during the time she remains as a K-3, yes she can apply for DL, but you might want to apply for her work permit, if you plan on putting off the I-485, but if she comes in after the uscis raises the fees you might as well apply for the I-485 because the work permit,I-765 will be included in the new fee of $905.00. Once your wife has entered the US on the K-3, then yes, she would be eligible to apply for a SSN and obtain a drivers license.
