I have no problem with legal immigrants from any country. I do not expect them to totally leave their culture behind.but I do expect them to assimilate to this culture.

Immigration to America in the 17th to 19th century was by decent, hardworking, well intentioned people, heading to America with honorable intentions to build and contribute to society. They created a workable social system with benefits to the deserving and a society of well-intentioned and decent people. But no such people come any more.
Now they come in droves, packing the major cities, causing an increase in crime, congestion, and taxes as real estate rents soar, parking is unavailable or exorbitantly high. Americans who took their entire lives to pay off their home mortgages, now find that the taxes on their homes are so high, they cant afford to live in them any more and the congestion so bad, they cant even find a place to park in front of their own homes. Many have to pack up and move out of the city, just to make ends meet, and then face the arduous daily hours of driving back and forth just to get to work and back home. That is, those that still have jobs, since as this goes on, jobs disappear, either right here where we get laid off, or the whole company moves out to a cheap labor country. And as the hordes make demands for energy needs, power needed to heat and light homes and buildings is insufficient, and cities black out, the demand for gas soars, heating prices skyrocket, and our own supply of gas becomes insufficient to meet our own needs, and we become victims of the arabs, who use the pumps to revenge our policies they don’t like.
They pile over the borders or by plane on visitor visas, preying on the good naturedness of Americans to provide a refuge for the oppressed, they connive the appearance of the downtrodden and persecuted, and then sit down comfortably and stay here, leeching off the health care system which faces bankruptcy in 20 years, the welfare system that us sucker u.s. taxpayers have to pick up the tab for, and which we spent decades to build.
Social parasites from latin america, flock here to live free on us sucker taxpayers, dragging their families and relatives in, once they get green cards and then swamping the health care system with their third world illnesses and birth defects. And the other breed of latinos – criminals of the most evil intensities terrorizing communities in which they rob and kill.
Thieves and common criminals from the countries of eastern Europe and the soviet union, hearing that there is still stuff on store shelves when stores close, that hasn’t been shoplifted or sold, come and steal, with impunity.
Mafia organizations that control Russia and the countries of the former soviet union, setting up foreign crime systems that specialize in grand larceny, weaponry, even nuclear arms materials for sale, stolen from the old soviet system, available for sale to our enemies, raking them million$.
Africans with strange ,deadly diseases walk in, causing epidemics and death to our gay citizens and to innocent people in general and swamping the health care system.
Asians with alien religious philosophies, contrary to Christian monotheism, poisoning the minds of our youth. And they come and take our jobs away here in America, while employers, enticed by cheap labor, move their companies there, leaving us unemployed,.
Terrorists walk in and go about their death tactics with ease and we shudder at what they will do to us next.

Finally, To add insult to this injury, our government picks up the tab for hundreds of
thousands of third world “students” to come, pack our universities tuition free at the expense of us US taxpayers ,while we Americans fall into debt to pay for our own children to get a college education.

I haven't heard anyone having a problem with legal immigrants. It's the ones that come here illegally, don't pay taxes, and disrespect the the American flag at their protests. We don't want them to leave their culture behind, but do what immigrants are supposed to come here to do, assimilate into American culture. They've shown a lot of disrespect to American during their protests. Burning the American flag, or hanging it upside down under the Mexican flag, there's nothing more you can call that but disrespect. Show some respect and you will get some in return. It's quite simple actually.
I have no problem with a legal immigrant. I do have a problem with illegals in the country,taking American jobs or living off the welfare system. No one has asked them to leave their culture behind. Heck, there are still people from Scotland who play bagpipes and wear kilts and attend Scottish festivals, but they learned the English language and assimulated into the American society. There is nothing wrong with a Hispanic becoming an American citizen, learning English, and attending a fiesta every weekend if he wants to-------just don;t expect America to start printing government forms in Spanish, demanding that classes in schools be taught in Spanish to their children, etc.

We hope that those that immigrate would choose to assimilate to the USA by learning English, being productive members of our society and obeying our laws. We want them to become citizens and pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to defend the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Open that Mexican restaurant of Salvadoran Restaurant, most of us relish experiencing exotic cuisine and other cultures, but don't fly a Mexican flag over the American flag in front of your restaurant. Cherish and maintain your heritage, but teach your children English as well as Spanish, after all, the language of the USA has been English since before it declared it's independence. Assimilate to the culture that you are immigrating to and quit expecting me to assimilate to the culture that you left.
No, legal residents are cool, supposing we have limits that protect our schools and services. It is those ignoring limits to protect our own children's educations and opportunities that we resent.
Now a question to you, do you want your own children in ever more overcrowded schools with reduced services to accomodate the many many millions above current immigration levels (and above legalization of those here) who would be allowed under the current bill?

I do not mind legal immigration from any region into the U.S. As far as Spanish culture goes, I don't mind it, and it is very much apart of our country. However, when the majority of a country speaks a certain language, most people who immigrated to that country would LIKE to learn that language so that they can actually communicate with people...If Latino's actually took the time to learn english, cross the border legally, and simply give a care, then they would probably not be in the situation they are in now.
And to be truthful, when ever culture is brought up with latin american immigrants, it almost always refers to language. I don't think anyone truthfully cares about anything else, otherwise you would probably be borderline racsist...

I hope your question is not accusing us who are opposed to ILLEGAL immigration of some kind of racism. Immigration is not a racism issue! I want legal immigration and I do not suport this current bill. But I am not a racist. Further, immigration extends to other people besides Latinos. The rules should be the same for all.
America was made the greatest nation on earth by immigrants. I am a decendant of an Irish immigrant myself and have the utmost respect for people who came here and made themselves prosperous and successful. I'm still working on it and I thank God that I am able to be in America. It's what America is all about. The varied cultuers are important, but do not forget that there is an American culture as well.
We are a nation of laws. We have borders, which, for our own sovereignty and safety, must be protected. Just like every country on earth. If someone breaks a law, there must be consequences. It's the same with illegal immigration.
What we need to do, is develop a system that makes it faster and more streamlined to get someone citizenship so that the incentive to come here legally is greater than the incentive to come here illegally.

I only order my food in a foreign language when I'm visiting a foreign country. I shouldn't have to speak anything other than English to get a hamburger in the United States.

All illegals with criminal back grounds need to be sent back and never become citizens
