Time spent waiting in my country to get the visa stamping..will it count towards my work experience for Eb2?

I was out of US for almost a year, waiting to get my H1b stamping. Currently, I am applying for my green card. my question is that the time spent waiting in my country to get the visa stamping..will it count towards my work experience? Since, I have had my h1b now for 5 years with different employers. If I include that one year outside US, my work experience comes to 5 years...without it, its 4 years. I have a bachelor's and am wondering if I am eligible for eb2.

Answer:
If you worked for that one year outside the US, you will qualify for EB2. Make sure you get your employment letter for that one year, pay stubs, IT returns etc to prove it. Check the Visa bulletin to see if the priority dates are current for your country or not. There are many EB Green Card aspirants on www.immigrationvoice.org
