Are the boarder agents alowed to shoot to kill illegals entering our country?

There are 2 Mexican / American Border Patrol agents
that were arrested for shooting at (not killing) a drug
smuggler, he had 800 pounds of marijuana in his van.
The smuggler was granted amnesty and brought over to
testify against the Border agents and they were sentenced
to 11 years in prison, the ONLY thing that these agents
did wrong was to pick up the rifle shells and reported
the shooting a couple days after it happened.
Protect our Borders go to JAIL, smuggle drugs get amnesty
and to make matters even worse, this same smuggler was
caught again trying to bring more marijuana over.

The Mexican ones on the southern border of Mexico are allowed to do so and they do it. Americans are not allowed to defend their own country in that way and frankly I do find it a little to drastic.
There are agents in jail RIGHT NOW for shooting a Mexican running across the border. ( a criminal ). And guess where HE is now..nope I don't know either because he was fixed up and LET GO!!! It disgusting the way these agents were punished - they should've received a medal!

I think if it's an American citizen trespassing onto your property you might be able to shoot them to defend yourself and your property.
But if it's an Illegal Alien newly here from across the Mexican Border and you shoot them the ACLU and La Raza along with your own Government will do everything possible to take away everything that you own and then throw you into prison for as long as the law will allow.
They as law breakers for being here illegally have more rights than you or I do.
They are after all President Bush's pet project and he doesn't like it when someone threatens something he holds so dear to his heart.
Even police officers can't defend themselves with rubber bullets against those people AND THEIR THE LAW!
During their most recent not so peaceful protest in LA where they marched once again to make demands and to tell us how to change our laws they began to throw bottles and cans at the police officers.
Well in response to being hit with cans and bottles the police shot at them with rubber bullets to get things back under control.
And now there's a very real possibility that the L.A. police that were involved in that dispute might lose their jobs because of it.
The illegals are a protected people and very important to George W. Bush who will do anything to appease them and keep them happy.

IT'S B-O-R-D-E-R. LEARN TO SPELL, or at least use spell check. In civilized societies -- I presume you would prefer to US be civilized -- people are not simply shot on sight.
To distinguish -- one, you cannot just shoot and kill someone because they walk across your property. You have to be inside and they have to be breaking and entering into your dwelling. You are in danger at that moment and you have to be able to defend yourself. There is a presumption that you are in danger.
A person crossing the BORDER into the US without permission is not breaking and entering into private property. They are entering public lands. There is no presumption that they are putting anyone into danger and that anyone should have to defend themselves to save their life.
What's your authority that people who enter the US without permission are, "by definition" invaders to the US? What dictionary did you find that in???
