The legalization could be good!?

There are people who have lived for many years in the States, their children have grown over there, they have jobs, friends, pay their taxes, speak the English, so why they don't get their documents?

Isn't it better a person with documents, paying taxes, talking English and living as any other american than people who have to survive and to be hiden all the time?

If you accept the legalization for people who fulfill specific requirements, don't you think it would be better for the whole country?

They would start to work as part of the nation and not just for themselves. America can take advantage of the skillful immigrants in order to keep growing. Think about it!!

What do you think?

Answer:
Something needs to be done to either deport them all (not feasible) or get them on the books and situated. I vote for plan B, it makes sense for America. It also encourages them to assimilate with American culture rather than hide in the shadows.
Illegals vs Legals!!

Vote the RINO's out of office..

I think you're definitely right.
Their children will go to failing schools, those of us who even possibly can will mortgage our homes to put our children in private school and there will be no concern at all for the public schools which will drop to a Mexico like status. Upward mobility as a result will disapear and their better life will be far less than they thought they were getting.

It isn't just the legalization, it is the doubling of legal immigration and the 'temporary' programs without enforcement potential that will result in huge waves of poor while the H1B increases decrease potential wages in the upper spheres.

Then there is the 10 year statute of limitations that would give a rolling amnesty to all who come in the future, but they don't need to because the acceleration of SPP in the bill, requiring us to pay for Mexico's health care and education (while illegal immigration causes our own to fail further) will mean each country will be equally bad.
I think they should have entered the country legally to begin with. I think it's against the law to enter this country other than by the means laid out by the US Government. I think the law states they should be deported.

Actually, only the first sentance is opinion, the other two are facts.
Finally somebody made sense. I agree, some people really deserve to be here as long as they pay taxes, speak the language, and are part of this society.
We're not stupid, and we're not lazy. Think about this! Illegal immigration should not be rewarded with amnesty. It's our country - we are the deciders.

It will be good for the people who want to see Social Security bankrupt.

It will be good for Corporate America, who wants to keep American wages unbelievable low.

It will be good for the Democrats who need poor people to vote for their socialist agendas.

It is bad for the millions of people who eagerly waited their legitimate turn only to have their dreams destroyed by the greedy Mexicans who care only about themselves.

It is bad for the black community, who benefitted very briefly from an increase in wagesand job opportunities before the invasion started.

It is bad for the millions of construction workers who have seen their wages fall by 50% because the market is flooded with cheap, easily replaced labor.

It's an insult for the millions of people who came here to actually be Americans to see so many people come in only to get jobs.
Screw the illegals! Let them rot in hell for all I care! It's time for illegals to go home. Or we might find some of them missing or dead! That might happen!
Go DAR!! I agree.
Same thing I tell everyone...We need a solution..A realistic Solution..Sometimes what we want is not realistic..
SO
I rather have illegal immigrants turning legal and having them pay taxes

than illegal immigrants staying here and not paying taxes

Sending them back...Is not a realistic thing...
Secure borders is...So THis wont happen again

Jeff..Fine Jail them..But first find me a Jail where we can put 12 Million Illegal Immigrants..You can start by setting free all the ones we have in there (dangeous criminals) and then put the illegal immigrants inn...wonderful..great solution..so "realistic"
LA LA BAH BAH ILLEGALS are not any of what you said there criminals that need to be jailed & deported not rewarded.Come here legally than there welcome other wise there on there own.
I agree with you, however SOME people don't see past skin color so therefore they don't care about the millions of people that WANT to work hard and add to society.
We told U!
I agree with you, Legalization can and will be a good thing in the long run for everyone.

If people really think about, they'll see how much of a good thing it will be.
Most immigrants came to this country legally but overstayed their visa.
I agree. The alternative would be to deport all of them at the government's expense, which would be an even larger undertaking, and probably much more expensive. They would have to be transported across the border, which would require vehicles, drivers, fuel, and possibly even armed guards. The amnesty provision only gives them the opportunity to avoid all of that by coming forward and becoming legal. If they don't, they will be found and arrested and/or deported. That seems reasonable to me, or at least the lesser of two evils. They'll have to pay a fee to be naturalized, so it won't be all at the government's expense. There's no easy way out with such a large number of people involved.
They make the decisions to do what is required of them to do. They are to file forms for each and every life change that they make. As soon as they do not do this, documentation is not complete and they must start over. That is the only reason why they are waiting this long. The wait time, if everything goes correctly is an average of two years. That means no arrests, no moves without filed forms, and no job changes without filed forms. What is so hard about that? They don't want to pay the 70 bucks for each form. Then make excuses on how it is not their faults that their visas expired. All they had to do was renew correctly. No pity for them.
