Do you think that our immigration laws are being enforced?
Answer:
Well Contrary to what most people in here believe, I do believe they are being enforced..but only as much as OUR government is allowing.Let me explain...
ICE is only as large as Congress allows it to be...in other words...ICE is doing the best that they can with what they have...unfortunately, our Government hasnt allocated enough resources to help ICE do the job adequately. What does this mean? Well to those of us who cant see the forest thru the trees, it is ICE's fault...but the real fault lies with our own Federal Govts failure to fund ICE properly to do the job right in the first place. So ICE takes the fall for our Govt.but most of us now see the REAL truth now...hopefully, this will change...the priority of defending our borders was NEVER a top priority.it is now becoming a TOP priority as Americans are now becoming louder with their voices..
There isn't enough ICE officers to enforce the laws!
Not as much as they could be.
What do you think? Kids are being harrassed by cops for riding bikes and skateboards and illegals are left to do anything they want. It's a joke!
NO - and I wish they were!
(I'm NOT a racist, but a realist. We need to secure our borders NOW!)
Well, let's see. The government says there are 12 million illegals in the US (Actually the number is closer to 20 million) So, I'd have to say no.
No I see them all over the place, I know some of them, they work hard, drive their mopeds to work. They know how to avoid the policia.
No and they need to be enforced now!
Well sure they are! Just like our policy regarding Iraq is working! Just fabulously, not. An illegal immigrant has to commit a crime while in this country before even facaing deportation. Most cities don't even know about the INS and they don't call the INS when they arrest a mexican national illegal immigrant for criminal offenses. It is a crying shame and it is being perpetrated upon the American people.
Yes for some people they are being enforced and those groups are being sent back to their countries, not given any type of considerations. However, others are able to come to this country and live their lives. What I don't understand if this country doesn't want the immigrants and everyone is complaining about them then they need to remove the sign on the Statue of Liberty - "Give me your tired, your hungry, your humble masses yearning to be free". Because what most people are coming to the USA for is to be part of the American dream, home ownership, education, health care, and being free to worship and having freedom of speech. I believe that something can be worked out and if they would stop sending our jobs overseas, we would have enough here in this country to support mostly anyone who came here and wanted to stay here. The way things are handled now, it seems like a lot of selection about who stays and who goes - goes on and then people are forced out the country after coming here and making a living and others are here doing all sorts of corruptible things.
We all should be able to live and be free and immigrants should be welcome if everyone was to take a look in their family tree, mostly all of us came from somewhere other than here...
i don't believe that they are because immigrants are still coming to this country. i understand that it takes time but if they were being enforced there would be less immigrants coming to America.
Immigration law enforcement is like keeping high school students on campus all day long when there is a MacDonald's and a smoke shop across the street...
no
i would say enforce our immigration laws by security the borders and going after Companies that hire illegal aliens.
no idon't think they are. i believe everyone should have the right to a better life and living conditions, but i also believe that there should be a limit per year and if your going to come here in the us to live, then you should obey the law and do it the right way. if you don't , then we end up with the situations we have now, to many people, not enough jobs, and to many gang related problems.
no
I think you already knew that though
no no!!! and no! we need to get them enforce so we can stop this invasion of illegal aliens! c'mon its common sense!
No,not yet but I think that's about to change.
No. While even our esteemed bureaucrat in charge at Homeland Security, Michael Chertoff, has declared it's just too darn hard to enforce the laws.
No I do not because the job is so great that every other American would have to be an immigration officer. The fences are not helping ither. We can only stop this by not hiring them and how can we do that, most of the field workers are Mexican, they work hard and good. What is needed are the Mexican people themself to change there country's ways. If we go to Mexico to work we have to pay the Mexican government big bucks to work, they give nothing just take. All the Mexican people coming over here send money back to Mexico to support the families they left behind, thus supporting the Mexican government. Like Cuba, Cuba survives off of the money the Cubans send back to there relatives. So, you figure this out and you get the Pulitzer!!
Nope, I live in a small city and I know of so many illegals meandering around without a care in the world. They can't speak English and they don't deserve to be here.
